Dr Ahearne performed my melanoma/lymph node biopsy surgery which went very, very well. His professionalism in the pre-op visit to explain the procedure and answers to my many questions relieved my anxiety. Further explanations and Dr. Ahearne’s demeanor on the day of the surgery further calmed my anxiety.

Taking everything into consideration, first visit, counseling, patient relationship, surgery prep, post surgical hospital visits, Dr. Ahearne represents the finest of the medical profession. I would recommend him without qualification. Top notch. Would never consider another surgeon, if the need arose.

I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma and totally in a panic since I have never experienced any health issues. I was referred to Dr Ahearne by my dermatologist. I found immediate comfort with Dr Ahearne’s compassionate bedside matter and his calming and highly efficient delivery of care. Each of his team members, including nurses, PA, and office staff, delivered the same excellent level of service to me. I would definitely recommend he and his staff to anyone in need of surgery.

I recently had a colon cancer and surgery. Dr Ahearne took the time to explain what he would do and answered my questions. I’ve had previous surgery which complicated his approach and access to the ascending colon. I was surprised by my small incisions and ease of recovery as compared to other people I know who have had similar surgery. Within a few weeks I had to have another ( unrelated) surgery - same result. Fast recovery, no complications. I have recommended Dr Ahearne to everyone.

Serious diverticulitis & subsequent surgery to remove the bad & reconnect lower intestine. Very detailed before/ after conversations outlining all the in/ outs of my situation. Dr Ahearn & staff were clear & helpful in all phases of treatment. I am very well now with no problem after my 10/16 surgery. I would recommend him most definitely.

Dr Ahearne completed a procedure on my mother to get a biopsy on a tumor to confirm if it's cancer or not. As my father and mom there were questioning his approach to make all the incisions to get the biopsy he claimed it was the best process. We found out later this was not the correct process that needed to be done, now my mother is lying in Wake Forest Hospital with two different bacterias that were introduced by his process. After, his words, that didn't work, nothing else I can do.
