Dr. Paul Bernabe, MD

It is a clean, comfortable space with wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Dr. Bernabe is friendly, attentive, and listens to your issues. He communicates well and does not order unnecessary tests or demand vaccines.He also speaks about... your overall health and any other concerns he feels, you need to be aware of. I also liked Holly, his Physician's assistant.All your test results will be visible on the Boone Health Site so you can compare all tests and lab results. Nicely Done Doc!

Dr. is argumentative about diagnosis and information he provided in previous visits. Started providing incorrect direction prior to reading his own notes. Then had to change everything back.

Avoid this one. I shouldn't have to come in several times per year for blood pressure meds that I have taken over a decade. That is just a reason to bill my great insurance coverage. Staff is rude.

Dr. Bernabe is an excellent listener and took his time to fully understand my medical need. After listening and diagnosing he explained everything to me thoroughly. I highly recommend him and my husband has started going to him also. Lucky to have a Boone doctor at the lake.

Dr. Bernabe was very knowledgeable and understanding of my medical needs.

Dr. Bernabe did not listen to my mental health concerns about my increased anxiety and possible PTSD after working at Calo. He did eventually raise one of my medication, which caused me to have a bad drug interaction ,which came to a head, 6 weeks later, during which I couldn't think, form sentences or write well, I also had some physical issues with coordinate and motor skills. I was really out of it. Dr. Bernabe also took a week to call in my perscriptions on two different times.

Dr. Paul Bernabe I still the best. If you tell him the problem at start, listen to advise, he could save your life like my husbands high blood pressure. Would not let him leave til it went down, when he had a stroke added meds needed that the hospital didn’t and blood pressure is in control for 8 years and no more incidents or episodes. Great attitude followed him to new location I’ll never change. Also gives time and I know he does with others as I hear him in their rooms as I wait my turn.

Always very rude, my last time there a few weeks ago he yelled and called his staff and his wife's staff "idiots" right in front of me and other patients. I won't be back.

He gave me antibiotics for aabses tooth that isn't for that and nothing for the pain .he doesn't care about his patients and I will never go back.

I sit in the room with the door closed listening to Dr Bernabe, outside in the hall, speak negatively about other patients. At every visit we argue. Over records in a computer. He is defensive. During the physical exam he elbows the patient in the belly, then laughs. Like a mock body slam, with contact, while you lay flat on the exam table. This doesn't increase my trust in him. He ask a question but doesn't wait for the answer, then doesn't like your answer when he gets to hearit. Menace

Hes very abbrasive. NO BEDSIDE MANORS! Lets you know right at the start, hes in charge, and he talks down to you. He will ask you a question, then interupt you while you are trying 2 answer and ask you the same question. He does not validate you or your issues. Then argue with you saying your wrong, then find out he was wrong, did i get an appology, nope, No appology. If i did not have 2 see a Dr. so quickly, i would have just told him what i thought of him and walked out. He made me cry.
