Can't say enough good about this Doctor
I came to Dr Frydenlund for a pilonidal cyst removal/repair. Sadly, it had been attempted a couple years before but now I have come to believe the surgeon that I went to was just going through the motions, didn't take his time to really inspect the issue, and tried to go for the obvious visual defect. Dr Frydenlund was quite the opposite, he was very attentive, listened to my worries, answered my questions thoroughly, and we talked over several options of proceeding. The day of the surgery I was also met with quite a surprise as my person with me identifies as non-binary, and he avoided gendered pronouns without being asked! My person greatly appreciated this. Upon talking further with him, he said this is very much on purpose, as I hadn't addressed it earlier. He tries to avoid using gendered language unless he asks what the person prefers or is told ahead of time. Overall as a surgeon and human I would say Dr Frydenlund is a great one!

Excellent care from an excellent physician
Dr Frydenlund performed surgery on one of my children to remove a large abscess on her colon that had fused to several organs. Every step of the way through the process he patiently listened to our concerns, answered our questions and helped us understand what we were facing. He took extra time in the operating room to insure a clean separation of the abscess from the stomach, spleen and pancreas. My daughter has made a quick recovery and thanks to this surgeon’s expert care, she is not expected to have any lasting negative effects. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a Gastrointestinal Surgeon.

If only I could add another star. SO pleased with this physician. Calm, focused, listens, nice, kind. The first time I met him we went over some CT scans that I had done recently. This man pays attention. He included me in his thought process and his conclusions. He called me yesterday before surgery because I had a concern. He eased my mind. I had surgery this morning. I am doing quite well. I highly recommend this doctor.
