Dr. Paul Jackson, DO

Regretfully, Dr Jackson is not a physician I would recommend. My husband has severe pulmonary disease (ILD-Pulmonary Fibrosis). On Friday March 7th a staff employee Barb called to inform me that Dr Jackson will not approve the referral request for a rheumatologist at U of M. He prefers my husband see a specialist in-network (@village medical). I tried to convey the severity and circumstances why my husband requires this appointment and to please have Dr Jackson call me back so I can further discuss this with him. Barb advised me to call the office immediately & speak with Dr Jackson to explain the importance of this referral. The front desk employee said the doctor left for the day and she will forward my request for a callback. On Monday March 10th Barb called back relaying Dr Jackson’s message that he will not process the referral request. I think it is unprofessional & reprehensible that the doctor didn’t call back considering the severity of this situation.

Covid has been a mess. Dr Jackson and the entire Livonia Family Physician staff stayed open during the whole crisis and helped care for us, as patients, while others offices were closed. They put themselves at risk. Thank you for your service.

Every visit with Dr. Jackson is great. He sits and listens. Doesn't rush you. Doesn't talk down to you. Gives you options of what you'd like to do.

My experience with Dr Jackson has been excellent. He cares, it is when you leave is when your troubles begin. Their billing offers an online portal, it costs to utilize it, and once you read the fine print to realize that they have you. I refuse to pay to make it more convenient for the recieved, you pay them so they get your money faster, seems backwards to me. I mailed my payment instead, it was recieved and collected according to my statement. The third party online DOXO that charges processing fees for processing your payment faster and will continue to try and collect long after you pay your bill through online emails BEWARE!!!!
