I tried to make an appointment. Staff member became rude when I took too long answering the question 'why I am being referred 'while making an appointment. Sorry that I was trying to read my doctors reason for referral

Might be the worst doctor I’ve ever dealt with. His office staff is legendary for their rudeness and downright nasty attitude.

I had a stroke at 23 and spent weeks in the ICU. Jersey Shore referred me to Dr K upon release. I was in pain and at the time he was prescribing narcotics. This was over 10 years ago- I had no idea what hydro- morphine was but I took it 3 times daily (in addition to 3 oxytocin) as directed on the bottle. From what I understand Dr K is no longer aloud to write scripts for narcotics and I’m thankful. There is absolutely NO reason a 23 year old who’s never previously had a health problem in her life should be on that many heavy drugs. I don’t even remember that time in my life. I never abused the pills, just took them as directed. I’m 37 now and STILL stuck on the pills. I’ve done therapy and put in all the work but my body is accustomed to them at this point. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one this happened to. I know several people who have used Dr K (and Dr M for Injections) and are now suffering the consequences. Please be careful who you trust, it can ruin your life in big ways.

I recently saw Dr. Kostoulakos as a new patient. I have a traumatic brain injury from a recent car accident. When I called, I specifically asked if they saw and treated patients with this problem and do they take motor vehicle accident insurance they replied they do. After my visit with the doctor he prescribed several tests for me to take to get a baseline of my condition. Unfortunately, the motor vehicle insurance company denied the tests. The office then tells me that they do not file appeals or arbitrate on behalf of their patients. The staff was very rude to me when I had some simple questions about how to proceed and others simply did not return phone calls in reference to this matter. While the doctor was professional his staff was not, therefore I do not recommend anyone go to this practice.

No bed side manner. Doesn’t follow up. Un available to leave urgent message with service. When pa said he would call us . Un safe practice Doesn’t explain anything. Called for follow up. 3 weeks it’ll next appointment. Office staff should be trained better in why you need appointment and is it urgent.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with Dr. Kastoulakos. I saw him for chronic back pain. He ordered an MRI, put me on Lyrica and was to come back in a month. I had a very bad reaction to Lyrica. When I called his office I was told to reduce the dosage and, by the way, we have to change your appointment to two months instead of one. There was no concern for my problem or scheduling an appointment sooner. I would NOT recommend this doctor or group to anyone.

Dr. K helped me with my tremors within our first visit together. Now I am no longer self conscious in public. Wish I had seen him years ago! I have recommended him to my sister who also has tremors. Great doctor!

I have seen Dr. K for several years for my brain injury. His office staff is also very kind and helpful in making urgent appointments. Would highly recommend!

Very satisfied with Dr. K's bedside manner and treatment plan. I plan to take my mother to see him next week! Highly recommended.....

Dr. Kostoulakos was very friendly, he made me feel very comfortable with my office visits. Found out very quickly my problem and was able to refer me to a surgeon. Staff was very friendly also. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Kostoulakos to family and friends.

A great doctor! Met him in the hospital and then followed -up in the office after 2 weeks. He diagnosed me quickly, and I have been feeling much better with his treatment. Glad to have Dr. K taking care of me!

This is a very unacceptable practice of allowing patients to be seen from 4pm to 5:30pm the following day to be seen in the hospital. I was discharged at 8am pending the neurologist visit. At 5:30 pm I was still not seen. Very poor practice

Excellent experience! Very easy to talk to and very helpful with my neuropathy. I would highly recommend !!!

I've never encountered a better neurologist, aside from my retired one. Doctor Kostoulakos is great. He's personable, patient and answers questions before the patient even asks. He's great. Waiting time was perfect and also understanding because I was late for my appointment.

Dr. Kostoulakos is a refreshing experience in healthcare. He actually listens, never rushes an appointment and doesn't condescend, as has been my experience with many other doctors.
