Dr Maloof Makes It Pleasant
The wait was over 30 minutes, 45 if you count the requested arrival time. But, the consultation, xrays, and treatment were quick and efficient. I have almost always experienced good care at Tidewater Orthopedic.

Professional, Competent, knowledgeable, and Friend
I had broken three of five bones in the top of my foot on a Friday afternoon. The following Monday I had an appointment with Dr. Maloof for a diagnosis, assessment, and treatment. He was very thorough and reassuring as to what was necessary and instructions for mending and recovery. He is very easy to talk with and asks and answers questions in an understandable manner, I am very pleased with the professional care and concern provided by Dr. Maloof. I recommend him highly for his knowledge, competence, and friendliness!

Back on my feet again.
When I first came to Tidewater orthopedics I realized at that moment I that they would be professional courteous and helpful. Dr. Maloof and staff did not disappoint. I arrived with a condition where I was facing amputation of my left foot. All of the doctors had said to get it amputated. After seeing my x-rays and reviewing my foot doctor Maloof confidently said he could fix it. He did! Over the next year I return for x-rays and to watch the progression of the healing of my foot. The staff and Dr. Maloof once again were very helpful. They were very confident that I would be able to walk again. After six months Dr. Maloof said it was time to put weight on my foot. This was the first time I was able to do that in over 18 months. With the help of a walking boot I slowly began to put weight on it. I began to walk And with the help of my new shoes I have continued to walk. This could not have been possible without the talented work of Dr. Maloof and his staff. I highly recommend them.

I'm a very active mom and kept spraining my ankle. I set up an appt with Dr. Maloof and after expressing all my concerns he put me at ease and I felt I was in great hands. I booked my surgery and it was the BEST decision I could've ever made! I can't express how grateful I am to him for fixing me. My ankle feels so stable and I'm back to doing all my normal activities with my kids. I even went skiing this winter!

I had a dead bone in my foot and Dr. Paul Maloof was quite helpful in resolving this strange situation. The dead bone had been causing significant pain for a long time. I am quite active on my feet from playing sports to my work and this problem was getting in the way of these. Dr Maloof took time to review Xrays and an MRI and then offered solutions. He performed surgery to remove the dead bone. The surgery went well but i learned the next day that the single bone had splintered into several pieces. This made it more challenging. Dr. Maloof was successful in the removal of all of them

No bedside manner, doesn't listen, seems mad at the world . Barely let's you explain your problem before forming his opinion. Maybe spent two minutes with me before forming his opinion, handing out his business card and moving in to the next patient. His reputation is one of a good surgeon; however, he needs to be coached on how to treat other human beings and get rid of his God-complex!
