Awesome Doctor
After a long wait list, I finally was able to see Dr. Nyirjesy. After reading some of the reviews, the negative comments sounded, to me, those patients just wanted to fight with him instead of listening. Some times you just need to shut up and listen to what is being said. He is a problem solver, I found out. He has a system. Go thru all your medical issues, then meds, then your symptoms and what you have tried to help them. What worked, what didnt. I could tell he was figuring things out before the physical exam even started. Dont cut him off....let him go thru everything. After all that, you can say anything that you want to him. He is a very caring person. He figured out what my issues are...after years of hopping around to other doctors with no diagnosis. One woman said he acted like God. No he didnt. He is amazing. I am so happy I found him. Now I can work on healing issues I have been dealing with for years. I highly recommend seeing him.

Wonderful doctor
This was a very intimate decision for me and I am SO very glad that I found Dr. Nyrjesy. Dr. Nyrjesy and his team are passionate about helping women with complicated female health issues He is compassionate, personable and most of all ,highly trained and knowledgeable. I had been trying to resolve my issue for 2 years before finally seeing Dr. Nyrjesy. I had seen no less than 5 other doctors in 3 different states in the US. Do not hesitate to see Dr. Nyrjesy. He will listen to you carefully and respond to your concerns. He is a busy guy but will ALWAYS make the time to make sure that you are well taken care of and comfortable with treatment plans. His staff is top notch . professional , and approachable. I wrote this review BEFORE he was able to identify and help me with my problem.I would have recommended him even if he was not able to help me with my issue. He's that good. Ultimately, he diagnosed me successfully and I am back to normal.

Waste of time
Doesn’t even give you a second to talk or finish a sentence and gets offended when you try and speak. Has a huge ego and already has a diagnosis made up in his mind before you walk in the door. He will not stray from his already decided. One of those male doctors that thinks women’s issues are in their head.

Best Gynecologist for Vulvodynia
I have had gynecological health issues from a very young age, and I often was met with doctors who were judgmental, shaming, or didn’t believe me. On the other hand, I had some kind doctors who didn’t know what to do. They could only offer band aid type treatments and some kind words about how it must be hard. Nyirjesy was a breath of fresh air. I came in terrified, after the worst year of my life of constant pain. He told me exactly what I needed to hear to feel validated and hopeful for the first time about my condition. His firm belief that he would find a way to help me, through whatever treatment routes needed to be tried, gave me confidence. After a year, I’m doing much better. Rather than being satisfied like other doctors might be, Nyirjesy still wants better for me, a life without any pain rather than significantly reduced pain. I feel that he cares so much about how I’m doing, even though his expressions may not always convey that. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

the scheduler hung up on me
The scheduler hung up on me. Tried to get a follow up appt and since haven't been seen since the pandemic the scheduler rudely said I have to be seen as a new patient. I requested not to have to start over as a new patient, and then she hung up on me. By the way, even though Dr. Nyirjesy's bedside manner is not great, he is a good doctor and knows his stuff.

Rude
This doctor has a god complex. I was hopeful for my first visit. He however only wanted to hear certain things and would barely let me talk. If I asked questions, it seemed like he got angry and thought I didn't trust him. He spent a lot of time bragging about himself. If he had a good bedside manner, he would be outstanding. How sad for women they have to travel far and wide to get help only to come into this man's office. I never felt empathy, reassurance, or care from this person whatsoever. I'm not sure why he is allowed to talk to women (especially vulnerable women in these conditions) this way. I felt uncomfortable every time I had a visit with him. I think moving forward, he needs to look at the "big picture" and take into consideration that many issues are complex. Oversimplifying the issues and not taking into consideration it can be multifactorial is not helpful. I think the practice itself is good, but I would see someone else who will listen to you.

Dr. Nyirjesy kept me waiting for over a half an hour in the exam room, breezed in and did a two minute exam, and then told me the next step in my treatment without giving me any choice, or listening to any of my concerns. He never let me complete a single sentence without interrupting and was completely unsympathetic during a very emotional time for me. I scheduled a follow up with a different doctor in the practice.

Dr. Nyirjesy is an excellent physician. I have been having issues for years that has caused tremendous pain that my very knowledgeable GYN just couldn’t figure out. Dr. Nyirjesy spent a good bit of time with me and was very thorough. He was able to diagnose and come up with a treatment plan. His bedside manner in conjunction with his highly trained experience in my opinion is rare amd makes him. I highly recommend Dr. Nyirjesy.

illness: vulvodynia. I have been a patient of Dr. Nyirjesy over a year now (formerly under the care of his NPs at drexel) I am so thankful for his care. He not only cured my vulvodynia through a successful vestibulectomy surgery, he proved to me and my family time and time again we could trust him and his treatment plans. He not only understands vulvodynia he understands the women who suffer from it and takes that into great consideration with his care. He is very polite, comfortable (he is my first male gyno), knowledgable, honest, validating (so crucial), and genuinely wants to provide the best care he can. I could never really put into words how positively he impacted my life. Best doctor I have been to and would not recommend anyone else for vulvodynia treatment. Also, his new staff at Jefferson hospital are very friendly and compassionate. I feel everyone there plays a role in my treatment, even the front desk.

Dr Nyirjesy is the best doctor I have ever had in my 64 years. He is beyond knowledgeable, caring, soft spoken and kind. He spent a long time with me during every appointment explaining my condition and treatments. He helped me with a health issue that countless doctors misdiagnosed. I could not be more appreciative.

While Dr. Nyirjesy has a good reputation, I was very unimpressed with my experience at his practice and would recommend seeing another specialist. Dr. Nyirjesy all but dismissed my concerns, and at one point hinted the symptoms I was experiencing "were just in my head." After leaving his practice and being seen by another specialist, my condition was correctly diagnosed (one of which is a condition they claim to specialize in and treat that was completely overlooked).

Dr. Nyirjesy is both an excellent listener and a clear and thoughtful clinician and communicator. I appreciated both he and his office staff explaining clearly what to expect throughout the visit. He took time to explain and to listen and was not rushed at all. He sent home clear instructions. Excellent doctor. First thing in the morning there was no wait. Had to wait a very long time for initial appointment, but follow-up appointment was based on the diagnosis and treatment plan.

Dr. Nyirjesy is great. I suffer from vulvodynia and he has helped me tremendously. He is calm and takes a great deal of time to listen to your problems and provide multiple solutions and helps you choose the one that best fits your needs. I also greatly appreciate how he provides me with copies of his notes and clear directions on how to care for yourself after your visit. In times when chronic pain makes it hard to even think clearly, the time and care he takes is appreciated.
