Dr. Park may be a top neuro-surgeon...
He is also a first class mensch.I suffered a nasty fall in my home on 2-29-24, resulting in a fractured spinal vertebrae, (C-3).The ER team at Weill Cornell is a knowledgeable and caring, (if over-worked) group of pros, displaying class under pressure. But after hearing the worrisome possibilities of my condition, we left the ER in a very pessimistic state. In leaving the ER, I was advised to consult after six weeks with the Weill-Cornell neurosurgery team Hartl & Park. However, because of continuing neck pain, we decided to check in earlier with that group, to ascertain that we were headed in the right direction. Dr. Park did not sugar-coat the situation. Yet with his positive outlook and unhurried explanations, he injected optimism into the situation. It was a welcome respite after weeks of worry. Thanks doctor. From the bottom of our hearts. Thanks also to P.A. Jenna for reflecting that approach in her work. Same to Lisa, your enthusiastically amazing office administrator.

Miracle
The closest I will ever come to experiencing a miracle is the time I woke after the surgery Dr. Paul Park did for me on October 25th. I had suffered for several months with extreme pain caused by a synovial cyst on my spine near the sciatic nerve. Dr. Park was the first doctor to diagnose my problem after carefully, patiently listening to my story as well as cure it by excising the cyst and relieving the spinal stenosis that precipitated it. His staff was even able to expedite the surgery when a cancellation appeared a month earlier than my original date. One day post-op I tossed away the cane I’d needed to walk and have been without pain ever since. He is a fine surgeon and a good person supported by a great staff.

Walking again
Dr. Park has given me my life back. I had a large herniated disc in my lower back that left me mostly bed ridden for the first six months of this year. I went through PT and got several shots and nothing worked. Surgery was the only option left and I am so glad I found Dr. Park. I was nervous and scared, but Dr. Park was patient and took the time to explain the process. I've seen other surgeons before him and I immediately knew I wanted him to do the surgery. Three months later, I am walking with minimal pain. I was told that nerve damage takes time to heal so I'm just taking it one day at a time, but I am so grateful to be moving again. I also want to say that his team is fantastic as well! From scheduling everything to quick response for any issues or concerns, this is the best medical service I ever received!

Dr Park Surgery
The first visit I met Dr Paul Park and his assistant Jenna. They were amazing! Caring, understanding and professional. I explained about the pain a cyst which was sitting on my nerve root between the L3-L4. Dr Park’s patient administrator Lisa Summerville was also caring and understanding. Dr Park did my surgery on 06/01/23. I wasn’t able to sit for 5 weeks. The surgery went well and I am able to sit and pain free. I can’t thank everyone enough. Dr Park, Jenna and all the staff are a credit to Cornell. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, John Swiderski.

Relief at last
Had issues with lumbar discs and nerves since 2012. Had discectomy in 2012, some relief however nerve pain has been consistent since then, yes the kind that runs down your leg. Dr. Park tried several options (nerve block, etc) over past year. Ran out of options and he performed lumbar disc surgery. Post Op ran 3 weeks of serious pain, then within 48 hours became pain free for first time in 10 years. Dr Park was patient, tried all the non-surgical till I had no other. He listened, was very realistic, no promises. If possible his surgical skills are as impressive as his bed side manner. I recommend Dr Park without reservation
