Dr. Paul Perry, MD

16 weeks ago my wife went OHS with Dr. Perry. I can’t say enough good things about him and the team during this challenging experience. I would like to mention my father was a surgeon for 35 years, he taught surgery and over saw surgery centers. Dr. Perry is the guy you want for this. He was confident, caring, communicative, direct (when we needed to hear what had to be said even though we didn’t want to hear it) and at no time did we not have full confidence in his ability or that of his team at French Hospital. I can’t express that enough-as a spouse you really want to feel like you are in the best hands possible and he exceeded in doing that. Post surgery he was on top of everything and when he could tell I was upset from the stress he came to see me in person and looked me in the eye reassuringly. Frankly, he cares about what he does and the people he’s helping. Follow ups were great, the post surgery team at French Hospital was beyond incredible. And everything basically went as expected (Note: there can be some slight variances in recovery and it’s just how it goes). Overall I can’t say enough how great he-they are. If you are worried going into OHS (which is normal) you should meet with Dr. Perry and choose him as your surgeon. You won’t regret it at all.

Dr Perry saved my life. He did a successful triple bypass with a new mechanical valve. He had to reconstruct the root of my valve to get the valve to fit. Prior to surgery I had a cardiologist who blew me off for 3-4 years so the surgery should have been done a couple years sooner. Dr. Paul Perry performed my Bypass and Aortic Valve surgery at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo. I had 5 blocked arteries and aortic stenosis. Dr. Perry explained the surgery to me before and I felt confident and secure going in. After the surgery, he visited me daily in the hospital with a smile and handshake. Most surgeons don't have a bedside manner like that. He is also great to deal with after when you go for a follow-up. His staff is pleasant and I was able to get appointments as needed. He did a great job saving my life and a beautiful job on the incisions on my chest and leg. The surgery was a success and I feel great. Thank you

Dr Perry performed open heart surgery on my husband, a valve replacement and an aortic graft for an aneurysm. Everything he told us to expect was as he said, and the surgery was a success. He is a very good communicator, a very skilled experienced sugeon, and a very nice person. We are extremely lucky to have a heart surgeon as good as he is on the Central Coast. Four and a half months post surgery and my husband is doing very well, almost like it didn't happen. Thank you Dr. Perry.

In my opinion, Dr Perry saved my life. I had a defective Aortic Valve that he replaced in February. I was just a year or two at the most of having to have a heart replacement. Many doctors that I have experienced just takes their occupation as just a job, Dr. Perry shows a calm but caring influence that I have never seen before.
