She just doesn’t seem to care anymore and the off
Have a history of abnormal paps and have undergone 2 leeps & 2 colposcopies. When I finally called about my exam results, she refused to call me back & had her training student give me my results. was LIVID! I pay a $50 copay to see this “specialist” and she was blatantly ignoring me. This continued for about 3 days , until I finally called again and explained that I have a few questions and I demanded that she returned my phone call. herself. The kicker was that the student told me that If I didn’t hear from them then “no news was good news”. WJO SAYS THAT?!?! When I expressed my concern about contacting ke especially with the history that I have, her student then realized that the pap results that she had initially given me were actually abnormal, and my white blood cell count was extremely high, which resulted in my following back up for more testing. She advised me to make an another appt, and said t wouldn’t annswer any of my ??’s until I pay a $50 copay. I was done..

Good until it goes bad…
Had Dr. DeYoung deliver my daughter via C-section and things were good. A few years later I went in to deliver my son and the entire experience was terrible. Couldn’t get me in for a C-section so I labored all day until my son was coming. The doctor on call that day didn’t call for backup (not DeYoung) so at the last minute another doctor from same practice arrived and although difficult, delivered my son. Fast forward I’m home and realize I have severe fever which broke and then returned. I went back to hospital and they took blood and gave me a med to take. I was told to see Dr. DeYoung first thing in the morning. While being seen, she was called out to receive my results and when she came back into the room she was extremely cold and said I needed to go back to the hospital immediately! I found out later that I had 100,000 ecoli in my bloodstream. Was back in the hospital about 5 days with various IV meds and saw every doctor from the practice, except Dr. DeYoung who was my doctor!

i have found Dr. DeYoung thorough, a clear communicator and compassionate and reassuring when test results were concerning. She even guided me when my out of state daughter had a crisis. I recommend her highly.

I'm glad I did not pay attention to the negative reviews about Dr DeYoung, when I recently went to her for a after surgery exam, Dr DeYoung was very friendly, kind, made me feel at ease. When She asked what I was there for, when I told her why, she only dealt with why I was there and my concerns. Dr DeYoung made me feel at ease during her exam on me. I would go to her again in the future. thank you Dr DeYoung. Sandra A

I really like Dr. Deyoung. I started off with another OBGYN and had Dr. Deyoung one day as a substitute for mine because I needed a sooner appointment. I find her to be so warm and kind. She's so comforting and makes it feel less weird when someone is looking deep into my lady parts lol

I've been seeing Dr Deyoung for 2 years but won't be going back. Once I waited over an hour having arrived on time for a morning appointment and was not told until asking after an hour whether there was an problem. Most recently she failed to deliver abnormal blood results that were taken over5 weeks earlier and when I called she had every excuse in the book for missing it. She is laxidasical and not at all thorough.

If you're like me and aren't a fan of going to the doctor, this is definitely not the doctor for you. She is cold and comes off as aloof when I was trying to outline the concerns that I had and the reason for my visit. She basically told me nothing was wrong and I left feeling worse than before my visit. Fortunately I met a compassionate doctor a few weeks later who listened, addressed my concerns and go to the root of my issue. I normally do not leave reviews but this doctor was the pits.
