Girlfriend went to emergency room after days of nausea, dry heaving, high blood pressure, history of celiac & pancreatitis. Dr. Gonella ran cat scan of her brain (no abdomen scan) & diagnosed her with"cannabis hyperemesis syndrome concurrent and due to cannabis abuse." Interesting as my girlfriend rarely uses cannabis & admitted to using cannabis ONCE, two days prior for the nausea. Dr. asked if she used cannabis daily, answer "NO," and never asked how often she used which is 2-3 times a month if that to help sleep with chronic neck pain as she has complications with recent cervical disc replacement. Most important she may have pancreatitis AGAIN with these severe nausea, vomiting, and blood pressure symptoms, especially being she has already had pancreatitis before, very common with celiac! Sent home in hypertensive state, put on record was a "cannabis abuser" & completely disregarded the known medical history, 2 days later no changes, going back! uggh
