The worst dr I ever saw. Misdiagnosed me. MEAN & ARROGANT. Aggressive. Treated me for 2 diseases I didn't have. She is a disgusting excuse for a dr and human being

Sorry to Say This
I wish I searched Healthgrades before seeing Dr. Rackoff. I'd heard many good things about her. My first visit she was unfriendly and refused to treat me unless I got a copy of the PET-CT scan I'd had overseas for an immune system disorder. Did not suggest another one or blood work at NYU Langone. When I got it to what I thought was her office (after having it couriered to NY), NYU Langone lost it. The envelope was clearly marked with her name, my name and full contact details. Her nurse called and told me they were looking for it. I booked two video visits with the doctor. She smiled and said nothing but be patient. Within a few weeks they started ghosting me, not answering emails requesting to speak to her or the nurse. Truly I'm sure she's helped many people. I've used Healthgrades to help decide to consult doctors before so I thought leaving this information might help others make a decision. Don't like being negative but still no envelope and never been treated by the doctor.

Fantastic Doctor
Dr. Rackoff is incredibly caring and kind. She is very thorough and makes sure she has covered every symptom and concern. She focuses holistically on me so that she understands and looks into all aspects of my health and well-being. She always follows up and is knowledgeable and a smart diagnostician. It feels very good to be in her thoughtful and capable hands.

never trust this woman.
never. I mean never. Trust this woman if you have any type of chronic issues that need to be dealt with. She’s a horrendous doctor. She has misdiagnosed me time and time again. She’s sloppy- doesn’t properly go over paperwork, misses things on blood work up, and doesn’t care about her patients. She’s a dangerous provider that needs to lose her medical degree. Dr. Rackoff has made my chronic disease 100x worse due to her constant negligence. If you care at all about yourself do yourself a favor and find a different rheumatologist.

Outstanding, Amazing Dr.
I recently moved from NYC to Chicago & I don’t think I will be able to find a Dr. comparable to Dr. Rackoff. She spent an enormous amount of time with me, really listening to my issues. She is kind, empathetic, and an excellent diagnostician. She helped me with my problems more than any of the other Drs. I have ever seen. I wish I could have taken her to Chicago with me. There are so few Drs. like her left anymore.

Great at first
My first couple of appointments with Dr. Rackoff put me at ease. But as time went on it didn't seem as thorough and then she spent more time on covid and less time on my current symptoms. The Saturday appointments were nice but not worth the aggrevation.

I would rather leave no star
If your overweight or obese like me from your medical condition do not go to Dr Rackoff, run far & fast. She was more focused on my weight and whether I got a colonoscopy then anything else. I follow a very special group of diets to help myself, and have lost 70lbs my current severe headaches & swollen neck has me nauseous 90% of the time so I’m not interested in food from the severe reflux whether I eat or not, that my insurance refuses to cover. She was in and out of the exam room so much it’s wasn’t funny, made me think I smelled I even checked my shoes. When I saw the after visit summery I was furious. She never asked me any questions about anything on the summary and wrote patient denies pretty much everything including headaches which I have constantly, never palpated my Thyroid or abdomen she lies! I’m my 3 decades of dealing with multiple autoimmune diseases I’ve dealt with way way too many bad, really bad, dangerously bad doctors. She’s in the really dangerously bad group.

Dr Rackoff shows no interest in her patients. She's extremely uncaring & at times quite rude. The office staff is the most unhelpful that I've experienced. This behavior has been going on for many years prior to covid when NYU management decided to see how many patients they can squeeze into a day. HSS is much better, professional & caring.

I have been seeing Dr. Rackoff for over two decades now. She is a high skilled, outstanding physician with a caring bedside manner. Several years ago I broke two of my fingers in an accident. She quickly referred me to an excellent surgeon who was able to perform complex surgery on fingers. My experience with Dr. Rackoff has always been very positive.
