Skilled, detailed, honest
I first met Dr. Gomez in an emergency. He operated on me in the middle of the night. I had concerns post op, sent a portal message, and he called and answered my questions and gave advice to get me on track for healing. He gave me advice on improving my health in general and avoid any complications. He took the time during my post-op visit to make sure I was on the right track. I hope to not need a surgeon again any time soon; but I will see Dr. Gomez if I do.

Excellent, in every way
Dr. Gomez… The fact that we could get in for an unscheduled post operative visit on such short notice was amazing. He never seems rushed, shows great concern and support for all of my questions and feelings. My understanding is that the surgery was quite complicated and Dr. Gomez did a wonderful job. Anybody would be fortunate to have him as a surgeon.

Informative, Extreemly Competent, Personable
Dr. Gomez Valencia was on my care team on two life threatening infection events, 2018 and 2022. During both, he was informative and took his time to explain the issues and options. In 2022, I had diverticulitis, perforated colon, peritonitis. After a bit of observation and antibiotics, his excision of a very damaged section of my colon saved my life. I am in far better health after the surgery than I had been in decades before. I find it hard to say enough good about how much he cared and how well his medical expertise turned my life around.
