Dr. Perminder Parmar, MD

cently had thyroid surgery and Dr. Parmar was absolutely THE BEST! He’s extremely personable, caring, and brilliant. He took the time to really get my history including past surgery situations to ensure I felt at ease with what he recommended as the best course of action. He never rushed me and was happy to answer all of my questions. His team is just as amazing from Christian to Ana and support staff. As for the actual surgery- he was outstanding! Almost two weeks post op you can barely see my scar. He provided a detailed post op protocol to subside pain, swelling, and scaring. If you’re looking for a doctor who is best in class, caring, compassionate, and patient you’ll want to see Dr. Parmar!

Dr. Perminder Parmar is very skillful, knowledgeable and caring with his patients. His nursing and administrative staff are excellent is their assisting his patients.

Dr. Parmar removed my thyroid in February 2020. He was professional, warm and caring, funny, and answered all my questions. He did a great job. My scar is not very visible.

Very thorough and excellent at explaining what he is doing for each issue...I had quite a few. He even takes notes and gives to you to take home. I definitely recommend him if you’re looking for a new ENT.

Dr. Parmar is ABSOLUTELY the nicest doctor I have ever met! Just totally down to earth and friendly. Talking to him was like talking to a friend or trusted colleague.

Great doctor. He is the best thyroid surgeon in San Diego. I had a rare thyroid cancer he did my thyroid surgery flawlessly and I am 100% cancer free :)

This doctor sent me for an unnecessary ct scan. I was not informed of any potential side effects or harm this scan with dye could cause me. I was told it was safe and that he has put his 7 year old in one. I believe this doctor gave me bad advice and caused harm to me, physically and emotionally. I am very upset and disappointed with my experience with dr Parmar. He did not have any follow up or answer any questions about my concerns regarding burning from the scan which I was not told would happen. Seeing this dr and listening to his advice (which was not explained as to why a scan was needed), is the biggest regret of my life. I will never forgive myself for seeing this doctor and feel dr Parmar is not approachable nor gives good advice. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Listens, describes everything thoroughly, easy to talk to. He did a hemi-thyroidectomy on me with no problems and after only a month I can barely see the scar.

Dr. Parmar is excellent - his bedside manner is some of the best I've experienced. He's extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the health of the head/neck/ENT and has a unique perspective as a surgeon. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Thank god I got this surgery that I kept trying to avoid . Dr parmar did a great job and for the first time in years I can breathe normally .

This doctor is fantastic. He takes time, gives clear instructions, clear on natural medicines that will help me. He requested tests that are on target. Dr. Parmar gave me options in a way I could understand. One of the best doctors I have ever seen...and I am not young!!!

Dr. Parmar did my parathyroid surgery. He is the ONLY fellowship trained parathyroid surgeon at Scripps. I am so happy to have found him. My endocrinologist Dr. Marx had tried to have me see someone else. But I asked to see Dr. Parmar as the other guy was not fellowship trained. He took great care of me and I have healed exceptionally well. My calciums are normal! If you are looking for the best see Dr. Parmar.
