One of the BEST!
I had a scan done with my Neurologist as I had an aneurysm for years, and this was follow up. The aneurysm had grown in size and it was decided that it required a stent to prevent rupture. On July 5th 2023 I had my surgery. No more headaches. I can now go on with my life. Running has always been my passion, and Dr. Amenta has given that back to me. I am forever grateful for his professionalism and care. I would also like to mention that the Staff on the Neurology floor are an amazing bunch of professionals. They were extremely attentive and caring. I thank them for taking great care of me.

Thank You
I was having constant headaches, fatigue and dizziness at times. I was referred to see Dr. Amenta by my family doctor. His office scheduled me to see him the same week I was referred. I found him to be professional and efficient - he asked me to get a CT and return once it was done. His office scheduled me to be seen the same day that I got the CT. I was diagnosed with a noncancerous brain tumor. As you can imagine I was panicked and scared. Dr. Amenta said he would do the surgery the following week if I wanted, so I didn't have to go a long period of time waiting and worrying. I had the surgery and everything went beautifully! I will be forever thankful to Dr. Amenta and his team.

I have never had such a dehumanizing experience with a medical professional as I did with Dr. Peter Amenta!!! The appointment was less than 15 minutes! He just took payment for the appointment with complete disregard for me as a patient. I was referred to neurosurgeon Peter Amenta by my ENT for a brain abnormality that was found during a CT scan. The condition is called Chiari Malformation and might explain some symptoms that I have suffered from for several years. I waited for weeks to get the appointment and had left messages for him prior to the appointment with questions concerning these symptoms. He never returned the calls. I had to take time off of work to drive to Worcester and when I saw him he literally came into the room and said that it was just the way I was born and that there was nothing to worry about…. THATS IT!!! He was completely prepared to end the appointment after that. He had no intention of conducting any kind of examination, never asked if I was experiencing symptoms or pain and when I told him about having daily headaches, nausea and neck pain, fatigue, blurred vision and brain fog; he immediately disregarded it and said that it wasn’t from Chiari. I even had to tell him that I had sustained Traumatic Brain Injury in the past… He showed no interest in asking about the TBI. When I express frustration about his apathy for the discomfort and difficulties I was experiencing, he got standoffish and stated that he could order an MRI but that it was overkill, so I asked him why do it if it’s overkill. He then contradicted himself by saying the CT scan I had done was not specifically done for the purpose of investigating Chiari Malformation and an MRI was how you determine if there was brain inflammation or issues with the spine…. So then how is he certain that I’m fine?!?! I left his office, still in physical pain and mentally distraught. I guess I was not worthy of his time attention.??
