Postponed surgery
Dr. Cummings is very nice, my problem was with Evet, she schedules surgery appointments, she made a error in telling me that I had to get a chest Xray, I actually didn’t need a chest xray, my surgery was canceled!!

Unable to see doctor
Shoulder Surgery Just a tale of warning. I had shoulder surgery with Dr Peter Cummings of Toca Banner back in october. Since then I have been in pain and have had numerous appointments with his PA. I scheduled an appointment with him. While I was waiting in the exam room, he went on a tear about how he doesn't do follow-up appointments and how did I schedule an appointment with him. His PA then came in, we chatted, she asked if I still wanted to talk to him, I said yes, she went out, she came back he wouldn't talk to me. Beware. Once he cuts you and gets your money, you'll never see him again.

Mr. Hartvig Skauge
Very personable and knowledgeable. He seemed to know right away on the best course of treatment. He treated my shoulder with a cortisone shot. Within Four to five hours my pain disappeared.

Dr. Cummings has repaired BOTH of my shoulders in the past 5 years. Both of them have regained over 95% of pre-injury strength and mobility. His manner is professional and to-the-point, but pleasant and informative. His PA is also terrific, and his recommended post-surgery physical therapists were top-notch. An example of his kindness: neither I nor pre-op nurses could remove my wedding band just before surgery, and I sadly was about to authorize cutting it off - Dr Cummings came in, took a look, told me not to worry and he'd get it off before the surgery once I was anesthetized. Sure enough, after surgery I received a small cup with my intact ring!

Seemed friendly and likeable but on 2nd visit asked if I'd considered amputation of my arm. I was too shocked; He knew nothing about my life or lifestyle. How could he blithely even say those words. That clinched it for me. I as done.

I am an existing patient of dr Cummings and they moved location and never sent any communications and after walking the past building for 30 Minutes, calling and wait time was 7 min and finally going to the therapy office that told me they moved and told me of their new location. There was no sign on new building either letting their patients know of their office. I am now 15 min late for appointment and explained how the address I googled is their old address and my experience of trying to find them and instead of them apologizing for My experience they said you will have to reschedule. They said they talked to dr Cummings and he is running behind and won’t take me. I have been waiting two weeks in pain and starting tearing up at the thought of waiting longer and office manager said sorry ifs his practice and he doesn’t want to see you today can we reschedule....no I will never return. Clearly no customer service and extremely disappointed

Dr. Cummings is top notch! Excellent care and patient friendly. I went yesterday for shoulder pain.. left the office with a diagnosis, a cortisone shop and a RX for some physical therapy. No pain today! I also saw him for my knee and that turned out great. Had TKA in Aug 2020 doing well.

Dr. Cummings is a truly wonderful surgeon . I can’t say enough good things about him and his staff especially Cassandra his PA and Iris his medical assistant. He really cares about his patients. I was badly injured in an accident and Dr. Cummings did an excellent job of diagnosing and treating an unusual injury to my leg . He put a plate in my clavicle and the scar is barely noticeable . He personally made sure that I got the best care. I had a very complicated case and thanks to Dr. Cummings I’m ok again .

He is awesome. He did a meniscus repair on my left knee in June 2005 and just did a partial knee replacement (same knee) on 11/17/20. He and his entire staff are very professional. And, he seems like a really nice man personally as well.

Dr Cummings has kept me walking on my original equipment knees. He has done cleanups on both and given me orthovisc injections to keep them lubed up. Although he is a surgeon he doesn't rush you there. You can believe and trust how he handles your aches and pain.

I've been going there for a couple of years now. There is approximately a 20 to 30 minute ritual of filling out the same paperwork for the same condition. First of all I was given paperwork that had someone else's name, address, and date of birth. So much for patient privacy! After filling out my correct paperwork, the same day I received a phone call from the wrong pharmacy thru a phone number I no longer use. This has been updated but the staff has failed to update their system. I am not happy about this. I also did not see the doctor but saw the physicians assistant. She is very nice but I was not informed that I would not be seeing the doctor. I am very dissatisfied. I could have overlooked some of this, but having retired after working many years doing their job, I certainly expected better.
