Terrible- I was scheduled for one procedure but he did something completely different ! My regular Annapolis GI doc couldn’t do the surgery that I needed- it’s a rare condition I have and I was referred to him by my GI guy. I had my televisit - explaining what my doctor wanted done , and I set up the appointment for the surgery. When I woke up, I found how he didn’t even do what he was supposed to do! Is this guy all there?!!! He redid the procedure that my regular GI doc did and 5 days later, I was sick again . He agreed with my GI guy and me that the surgery I was going to see him for was needed and it was understood my GI guy couldn’t do it, he was specifically asking Dr. Darwin - who said yes, he would do the surgery! When I woke up - can you imagine my shock that this dude Darwin completely FORGOT the surgery he was supposed to do! I had a procedure for no good reason! Is he losing his memory? How could a doctor forget what surgery they are supposed to perform?!! Never again!

Dr. Darwin demonstrates high integrity and concern for patients, especially in comparison with other area GI’s (including GI’s in U of MD’s network). We have recently experienced no response from him after multiple attempts, and past difficulty scheduling- under very time sensitive constraints. (These experiences may be result of poor office staffing and excessive patients needing care, in comparison with good GI doctors available). Take note U of MD.

My past experience with Dr Darwin was great tso when I was having excruciating discomfort I would have liked to consult with him to find out what could be the problem. I spoke with the assistant on tuesday 17th she assures me she will call back to set up a time to see the doctor or at least speak with him It is 3 days later and no action so I lcall again. No words of apology was told he only sees patients on Tuesdays and the next appt is Oct.31 at 9:30. JUST BAD PATIENT SERVICE!!!

Dr. Darwin was wonderful! He was compassionate, patient-centered and very skilled. I felt very safe and confident that I would (and did) receive excellent care! He listened to my concerns and gave concise and easily understood answers to my and my husbands questions. I highly recommend Dr. Darwin to anyone who needs a gastroenterologist!

Good luck even getting an appointment. I wanted Dr. Darwin due to his great reviews. They tell me their office requires a referral and clinical notes even though insurance doesn't. I played along and scheduled an apt with my PCP. After the apt and many days of calling and re-calling they finally say Dr. Darwin reviewed my notes and won't see me and passed me to the NP. Incredible. I need colonoscopy, you offer colonoscopies, just take my money seriously.
