Cardiac Ablation with no anesthesia
On 5 14 2024 I had a Cardiac Ablation for Supraventricular Tachycardia WITH ABSOLUTELY NO LIGHT OR ANY KIND OF ANESTHESIA. I did not consent to this. The pain was in beyond excruciation. I would as FULLY AWAKE for approximately 2 hours 40 minutes asking over and over and very loudly for the team to help me. I said please give me anesthesia, I cannot tolerate this pain. Please help me. I got no answer from anyone in the room. He was sitting right next to me and did not respond. There was no Anesthesiologist or Nurse Anesthetist in the room at any time. This was just beyond horrific.

Very likely to recommend Dr Friedman
Dr Friedman was very reassuring , knowledgeable, and matter of fact. He recommended an ablation procedure for my arterial flutter. It went very well. I’m completely satisfied.

This dr is not interested in knowing or speaking to patients or family. Questions are met with short answers and not much discussion and very little explanation. My mom told me he was not wearing a mask when he came to introduce himself to her prior to her procedure. While she can be confused often at 90 she has been so ingrained in mask wearing it's not something I think she would miss at this time, and this during COVID. He might as well be an auto mechanic.

I haven’t as yet received a call back for an appointment. So far I have called twice. I did receive a call back once but I was not able to connect. I did call back with no response. I cannot believe it tales this long to make an appt. I worked at a very busy hospital for the director of a unit, this would never have been tolerated nor would I have wanted it to be.

My mother was treated by Dr. Friedman and I was appalled at his lack of bedside manner, talking over me, and refusal to listen to my mother's medication side effects of a terrible drugged feeling. She even had slurred speech. Because of his refusal to change her medication, my mother ended up in the ER that same night where we demanded she be seen by a different cardiologist. The new cardiologist agreed that she was on excessive doses and changed her meds with a positive outcome.
