Personable and thorough

Dr. Gearhart is one of those doctors that do his job with his heart in his mind. He takes his time with each patient to fully understand who they are, and what they have been through so that he can help provide the best care that is possible. I think your Dr. Gearhart and his team got they have giving me hope a again. Also, each team member took their time to do and give the best care possible which has allow me to do something I don’t think I could do again which is to give birth to my beautiful new baby boy. I was asked how I felt physically and mentally I will forever be grateful to the staff at Penn hospital. Thank you to Dr. Gearhart and his team. I appreciate you all.

This doctor was recommended to me. I waited 6-7 weeks for our first appointment as it was the soonest he could see me. I was seen 2 a full hours late. He was in the room for with me for less than 15 minutes and didn't make any eye contact. It was bizarre. For my 2nd appointment, I called to check in if he was running on schedule a couple hours before my appointment. The woman on the phone sounded confused and quickly let me know that he was not in that day. He forgot my appointment... I got no apology.Between appointments he was unreachable and his nurses were rude. Awful doctor.

I started seeing Dr. Gearhart earlier this year when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. At every appointment he was very lax and would tell me that I was extremely low risk and even insisted I see him every 6 to 8 weeks instead of every 4 weeks that’s recommended during pregnancy.?? He failed to tell me that I ?had a short cervix after reviewing my 20 week ultrasound. ?Due to his carelessness I was not eligible for any treatment because I only went for a second opinion at 27 weeks. He caused me and my family so much pain and suffering during my third trimester. I was put on bed rest and was told that I was at high risk for premature delivery. I tried contacting Dr. Gearhart 11 times to receive an explanation as to why he never discussed my condition with me and did not treat me appropriately. Till this day I have not received a callback from Dr. Gearhart. I would avoid seeing this doctor at all costs as he is extremely careless and provides fractured care to his patients.

Dr. Gearhart is extraordinary in caring for me and my baby, he patiently answers all my questions. I highly recommend him and his team.

Dr. Gearhart took fantastic care of me during my high risk pregnancy & made me feel very comfortable. I have great trust his abilities. I've been seeing him for 7 yrs and refuse to see anyone else for my GYN care. He does tend to run late, but I feel he makes up for it with his attentiveness. I plan on it & bring a book.
