Dr. Hartwell is very kind & caring. He explains procedures well & answers my questions. The procedures have gone well & he meets with me afterward to tell me how things went. Have had a really good experience with him each time.

Doctor Hartwell is one of the best doctors I know! He is not just there to do "work", but from the many times I have seen him, he actually puts his heart into seeing his patients. When he diagnosed me with my sickness, he did more than just diagnose and tried helping me to find community resources and giving me advice and help that a doctor who didn't care would never do. And when I came back for appointments, he remembered me and what we talked about. I definitely recommend him to people!

Explained outcome clear as normal however was billed as diagnostic instead. When calling office Andrea was quite rude impatient and only complicated the issue of billing. The appt was for routine colonoscopy. After talking with Andrea in Hartwell's office I wish not to be put through this type of treatment again and will look else where. Thank you

Dr. Peter Hartwell tore my anus muscle during colonoscopy that was not required but he recommended it after he removed a hemorrhoid. Now I have a prolapse and when I called to complain he said "its no big deal." Seeing as I have to physically push my intestine's back in my anus every time I go to the bathroom, for the rest of my life!,....yes its a BIG deal!

I have had two colonoscopies performed by Dr. Hartwell. He is friendly, informative, skilled and efficient. I wasn't happy that I had to wait several hours beyond my scheduled time for the procedure, but I'm not sure that was within Dr. Hartwell's control. I was very impressed that he called me at 8 p.m. in the evening after the colonoscopy to discuss the results.

I found him to be caring, intelligent, and a pretty good listener. I went from hating hospitals and clinics for their repetitive, unnecessary, and self serving test and procedures to trusting anything this man tells me about my conditions. Other clinics would rather "monitor" me for the rest of my life doing the same things over and over. He actually prescribed a medication that cured me of the cause of the initial liver transplant over 10 years ago. Other clinics didn't.
