Never experienced a physicians visit like it.
During my appt I was quickly describing my issue and what meds were working and those that were not, knowing my appt time was short and limited. He chided and scolding me to be quiet and that I was rambling! He would do the talking. He then proceeded to lecture me about the socio-economic statuses of his patients and how they addressed medical concerns. His Jackson patients were those that waited to see him when it was too late and had experienced serious issues, whereas his Marlboro patients, in good health, sought him out in their 40’s and later only see him to refill anxiety relieving scripts! His continued rants and personal opinions occupied the appt time, and non to which were relevant to me. He ordered a battery of tests, explaining nothing regarding there purpose or procedure! I, well into my 60’s have never experienced a more condescending and unprofessional demeanor from a physician. I, as the patient had no voice, I was appalled by the experience and vow never to return.

This level of attention is reassuring and demonstrates his commitment to providing the best care possible.Dr. Lapman genuinely cares about his patients. He goes beyond just treating symptoms; he takes the time to listen, understand, and address all your concerns. His compassion and dedication make a significant difference in the overall experience. One of the most valuable aspects of his care is his honesty. He communicates openly and directly, giving you the information you need to make informed decisions rather than just telling you what you might want to hear.

Dr. Lapman is a refreshing change
I and my husband have been seeing Dr. Lapman for years. He is friendly, attentive and thorough. His office is close, his staff is professional. I trust his ideas, judgement and practices. I have an appointment tomorrow to have him check my 60 year old heart for any issues following a bout with COVID this past December, and I know he will be straight with me if there are any problems I can do something about.

Glad I moved on...
Terrible. A couple weeks after valve repair surgery last year (which I VERY much needed, but he never suggested I did), he really didn't show any interest about issues I was having during recovery. Not to mention when listening to my heart, he was talking to me the whole time. Must be talented to be able to talk AND listen to a heart through a stethoscope at the same time. My new cardiologist is excellent.

I was belittled and made to believe it was my fault he did not give me surgeons phone number. I was led to believe Dr Lapman was orchestrating tests and meeting of Drs as he had done previously. Worst office visit ever. He had me in tears. Hope it made him feel better. And as I was checking out, he belittled his office staff in front of three patients. Me being one. It was a very chilly environment. Dr Lapman needs people training. I will not be seeing him ever again.

Like magic he got my BP down 20 points. And I loved his sneakers. Would be great if he checked out cardiac tomography scan and precibed it's use rather than nuclear stress test. He'll make his patients very happy. Really.

Met with the Doctor today with my 90 year old mother. He was very professional while still being personable. He answered and explained every question. Most importantly, he respected our time by being prompt and to the point. We did not feel rushed yet it was not an all day event. Very happy with his service.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to see this doctor. He's a grade A you know what and he thinks he is better than other people. He talks down to patients and his staff. If you 5-10 mins late he won't see you and doesn't care. He likes to high five you and pretend he's so cool, but you shouldn't high five 80 year old patients. At times he's very unprofessional. Don't go to this man that calls hisself a professional that's what he's not.
