Excellent Cardiologist
Dr. Magnusson is kind, thorough and spends time explaining his approach to your heart problems. I have had every kind of test in his office and a heart monitor outside his office. He wasn't rushing to recommend medication as my blood cholesterol and blood pressure were getting higher every year. He monitored me thoroughly and finally recommended a high blood pressure first, then after a year (blood pressure was lowered) and my cholesterol was still very high (240), he recommended a low dose statin which he has been monitoring. My cholesterol dropped to 160! I'm at a lost that other reviewers had negative experiences with Dr. Magnusson. I am a 76 year old woman, my husband (79) also sees Dr. Magnusson.

Unprofessional, Ignorant, and Callus!
My friend was referred to this 'doctor' for potential heart issues that needed to be diagnosed, but instead, this idiotic man just wrote my friend off and told her that she does not have any medical heart issues WITHOUT EVER RUNNING ANY TYPE OF DIAGNOSIS.

As an RN who has worked in Cardiac Intensive Care for some time, I know the importance of a compassionate, intelligent experienced cardiologist. I have worked with Dr. Magnusson in a professional capacity. As a patient of Dr. Magnusson, I am more than satisfied that I am being well cared for with the most current cardiovascular medicine I can receive. Dr. M is very personal, explains everything that could or should be done & cares about follow-up. I highly recommend him for your cardiac care

Long wait, a lot of papers to fill out, and after that the doctor is still asking the same questions, My main impression is that Dr. Magnusson does not want to help old and poor.

Magnusson's support team has completely dropped the ball on me: I was supposed to be referred to another specialist, and 7 weeks later, the staff still has not been able to get a simple referral completed despite many follow up phone calls from me and from the specialist's office. Astounding. Magnusson himself gives solid straightforward information, but seemed a bit nonchalant in telling me that I had atrial flutter--this was news to me, and he only said so after I had asked about the tests.
