My story…Had breast augmentation in 1994 with Peter Raphael.Just found out due to hardening, swelling, changes in shape that the textured style 168 used were recalled in 2019 due to BIA ALCL (lymphoma.)Called his office a few weeks ago to find that my detailed surgery history was available. Yet no one had notified me this many years later nor did the manufacturer. Having x-plant surgery in the next few weeks, praying the pathology comes back negative. Worth thinking about what risks “enhancements” can have is not to be taken lightly. Do your research before and don’t trust that people or companies truly care post procedure. Disappointing to have a patients history, with knowledge of a recall and not do anything for the better good.

Jan. 12, 2023 I went in for breast reconstructive surgery to correct severe scar tissue problems making my implants totally capsulated, very uncomfortable, and asymmetric. Going in I was very skeptical that much could be done to correct a problem I'd have for over 15yrs. Dr. Raphael walked me through what corrective surgery I would need and that it was totally attainable to go back to looking very natural (not lopsided:). I'm now making my 2 year follow up appointment and thrilled with the results. I never thought they would turn out to be this beautiful, from what Dr. Raphael had to work with. And lets not forget the staff which were very nice and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Raphael!

I really really tried to like my nose, it was a revision, so I had him go in and make it smaller. I have thick skin, so I endured a lot of swelling for a good 1.5 year-2 years. I didn’t complain about that. He lied about taking cartilage from one area, and instead took it from cartilage that was used from the 1st surgery that helped build up one side of my nose, because it was naturally wanting to collapse. The tip he made from the cartilage is not directly on the tip, but to the side. Looks off

Good bedside manner but skirts around direct questions. Does not listen to your concerns or wishes. Work is subpar. Going to need breast revision. He cut away too much tissue, leaving me asymmetrical. Have consulted w other surgeons who all agree I need revision. Charged me for some Lipo that he did not do. When I confronted him, he said he'd do it later. Very sad and disappointed he disregarded my wishes. He does not listen or explain. Don't go here.
