Dr. Peter Torok, MD

Dr. Torok was extremely unpleasant. He was rude and condescending. I went in for knee pain, he examined my knee, and took some x-rays. He was able to explain what was wrong but I don't trust his judgement. I wanted an MRI and he seemed angry that I was insisting. He said "I'm happy to waste your money but it's going to show me nothing". When I asked him what I should do when I feel knee pain since he recommended exercise but my knee hurts when I do something as simple as walk. He told me "use your common sense". Horrible experience and will not be back and will be getting a second opinion. Idk who raised him but he's got no manners.

Dr Torok help me with my knees. The one felt like cut up glass in it. Dr Torok took care of it knees are great no cut glass in the one. Had the other one done just as soon as they could and it's doing great too. Thank you Dr Torok

Dr. Torok did two knee replacements for me. I have had an excellent healing process and my quality of life has improved 100%. He is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him.

Very knowledgeable and took the time to diagnose and treat my problem. He did my shoulder surgery and I’ve never felt better. I would go to him again in a heart beat for my orthopedic care

Painful, horrible experience and both shoulder replacements had to be redone by a shoulder specialist in Indy. Left shoulder replacement the socket was not attached and was just floating and the ball was displaced and protruding outward. Right shoulder replacement was displaced by 50%. The specialist said he had never seen anything like it.

Took great care of my son during a recent injury and surgery. Dr. Torok is a wonderful doctor with a great bedside manner.

I had reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Torok explained everything in detail about what to expect with pain and range of motion after surgery! He is very willing to answer any questions you might have! Nurses are top notch and very friendly! They actually care , you don’t feel rushed while in office. Seems like every patient matters as a person NOT a dollar sign!! Will definitely use him for any future orthopedic needs! Would highly recommend him to anyone!!

I had a pretty bad bicycle crash in October of 2016. I broke my clavicle, 6 ribs and had a punctured lung. One surgeon told me I didn't need a plate on my collarbone but Dr. Torok suggested it. I am glad he did. He did excellent work and although I can feel the metal (completely normal) I am back to all of my activities- cycling, yoga and the gym. Very friendly, takes time to answer questions and highly skilled. And he's a cyclist!

Dr. Torok performed shoulder arthoplasty on my AC joint to remove bone spurs and stop the joint from pinching. He was very quick with the procedure and was more than willing to answer any questions before and after the surgery was complete. He then referred me to a great physical therapy location for rehab. Within two months I felt better than I had in the year I suffered from AC joint impingement. If I ever have to have another surgery I will definitely go back to Lafayette orthopedics.
