WORST DOCTOR IN WESTCHASE
Dr Walton is good if you are looking for a friend but if you have any medical issues forget it. At the time we saw him he was more interested in talking about his divorce than even caring about your medical issues. He is always looking for the easy way out on any medical treatment and if it requires any medical thinking or extra work he does not want to deal with it. His referrals were always horrible and his follow thru was even worse. Bottom line stay away unless you are looking for a good friend to party with.

I was diagnosed with asthma despite having pneumonia. My back started to hurt a month after that and I went to see him again. He never touched me, did not order any imaging, gave me muscle relaxer and sent me in my way. Well, turns out the untreated pneumonia spread to my blood and gave me an infection in the discs and bone of my spine. After months of extreme pain and him telling me to get a massage I woke up and couldn’t walk. Went to ER who diagnosed as above, and had to have half my back fused with rods and screws.

Excellent!! He treats his patients as people and takes the time to understand the situation as well as explain the next steps. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Walton for 21 years - he’s the best!!

I have been going to this doctor for years until I did not have health insurance and had to move towards more concierge medicine. When I was able to get my insurance back I ended up going back to Dr. Walton after waiting about a month to get an appointment. After being on medication I was asked to call back and get refills which it took him over a week and a half to call back my pharmacist. I went through some pretty serious withdrawals from my medication that could’ve been prevented. I recently made an appointment a week and a half ago and they called me this morning to ask what medications I needed refills on and canceled my appointment. I have not had a good experience since returning to Dr. Walton’s office after several years. Whoever the management company is that is calling the shots is opening themselves up to some liability. I will be filing complaints with my insurance company and the state of Florida And will update this review shortly.

Doctor did not gave enough time to understand health problem. Their office staff are worst. They don’t communicate properly. Also they put charges for physical visit. I will never recommend any one.

Talks more about his own issues with his exhaustion and daughter than caring for the patient. I complained of dizziness and he never even attempted to look in my eyes or ears or perform a simple check that would have saved me so much time. He said.. “talk to the front desk about a follow up” As I’m waiting to do so I overhear him talking to a member of the staff and said “She’s probably pregnant.” And huffed. I was NOT pregnant. No pregnancy test, no referral to a neurologist.

Very poor office staff, totally incompetent! Because of a billing error on their part, I am now receiving collection notices. I can't seem to talk to Annie in billing. She is too busy or in a meeting. I am very surprised anyone would go to Dr. Walton. It is a shame because he is a decent doctor.

I scheduled my first new patient appointment with the office. I had to fast the night before for blood work and then waited in the office for 45mins only to have him no show because he didn't feel well. It is hypocritical that their office policy is to charge patients $25 for not canceling within 24hrs, but they can't return the same courtesy. I could have avoided fasting and cancelling meetings for the morning

Dr. Walton is a great guy, very personable. The wait can be long, sometimes up to an hour, however he takes as much time as you need once it is your turn. Some other Drs I've been too will only discuss the one issue the appt was for. He will remember to ask about other health problems he is treating while you are there. So I give him an A plus as my physician. The office staff has been up and down, and lately when I call to schedule an appt I get an answering machine. Call backs take a day.

Front staff is VERY unprofessional yelling to other staff about patients information. I could hear one of them tell someone else "well he's just going to have to wait" upon my arrival. When they called about my lab results the doctor wasn't even going to talk to me about my concerns I had to make an appointment but when I showed up a little late he cancelled me after making me wait 20 minutes. It was right before a holiday weekend so I guess he was more concerned about his plans than his patient

Dr Walton goes to extra lengths to provide a diagnosis, even when he is flat out busy and his waiting room is full he does not rush through his appointments, He will suggest a specialist anytime he thinks it's necessary without any egotism, he always provides necessary & beneficial advice and does not over prescribe meds, he has provided me with great bedside manor while minimizing the number off meds I was on. I definitely feel my health has improved since I began to see him

I visit Dr. Waltons office every 6 months to check on my blood work and to get new prescriptions. It seems that each time i ask about having them sent to my insurance i get, i'll take care of it 1st thing. Sadly, I find out that the prescriptions where not faxed to insurance and have to go and either go and pick up prescriptions at the office or have them called in to CVS which causes me to pay additional co-pay. His staff is poor told me that they do not have time to spend calling insurance

I started seeing Dr Walton after he took the practice over from another doctor. That was around 14 years ago and I haven't found anyone else I trust as much as him. He's thorough, listens, is very knowledgeable and has great instinct.
