Wanted to like him
Had a consult with him for a panniculectomy. I felt as though he already had his mind made up prior to meeting me. I had a visible rash and that was one of my reasons for the consult. He told me I needed to lose more weight and my insur would not cover it. He said yeah lose more weight whether that’s with weight loss meds or however you need to. The appointment felt rushed and he seemed like he didn’t care about anything I had to say.

Poor office management
I had to have breast implants removed from a previous cancer surgery. The removal went well but the after care has been horrendous. The medical assistant Jasmine has been very difficult to work with and has made me come into the office without having obtained the images from a CT scan. At that visit I had to get undressed twice because his PA, Lyndsey had not even read the report when she came into the exam room. After I got dressed she must have gone and read the report because she came back to re-exam me. She assured me she would call me as soon as they got the images. It is been over 2 weeks and I have not heard from her. I have repeatedly called the office and today I waited over 40 minutes to speak to someone. I was told they were not available but would get a call back tomorrow. I think Dr. Wu is a good surgeon but his office is so poorly run that I cannot recommend him.

Finishing my review
I got to know dr Wu and his team during my 2 week stay at st joes hospital. They are in the business of saving lives. He uses his plastic surgery in the emergency room. And for all kinds of traumatic illnesses, that affect people. Sure, he can do cosmetic surgery. But I would ask the team about what they had going on in the hospital that day. And it’s the kind of stuff regular surgeons can’t do. I’m sure there are a lot of people like me he has helped. In so many ways besides cosmetic surgery. The man is a valuable asset to the hospital.

Highly recommend!
My wife went for a bi-lateral breast reduction and lift. I highly recommend Dr. Wu, he is very professional and knowledgeable. Any questions you have, he can answer them quickly and his methods for post care worked great! Dr. Wu will also try his hardest to get you approved through insurance.

Dr. Wu is amazing!
Dr. Wu did my breast reduction. He made sure I understood everything and was very polite and kind. I had no complications and he and his staff made me feel very comfortable. My post op appointment was scheduled the same day as my surgery. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon!

Great Surgeon
I was disappointed to see such a low score for Dr. Wu and decided it was imperative that I write a review, that was more recent, to share how great a surgeon this man is. He has been one of the best physicians we have encountered through my husband's cancer journey and did the reconstructive/graft surgery on him. Our family found him to be thorough in explaining everything to us, taking time even after surgery and a long day to always answer any questions/concerns we had. Unlike many doctors, he genuinely cares about his patients, is very humble and always kind and respectful. I would highly recommend him..... he has our family's 5 star review. Added note: As to his office staff they are always very kind. His NP is the greatest and really is absolutely the best. She is extremely sharp, helpful, always cheery and positive. Because of Dr. Wu and Lina and the positiveness, is how my husband pulled through the extensive surgeries he had to have. We are very grateful for them, Sinc

HORRIBLE
My mother recently had a breast augmentation done by Dr. Wu after battling breast cancer. He did her final surgery with included liposuction and implants? Maybe? Who know because he was not there to explain what he did to my mother during surgery. My mom left confused, hurting, and feeling neglected after her surgery. Dr. Wu did not visit once she woke up from the anesthesia. He only spent about a minute (if that) telling my dad my mom would need to wear a bandage for 3 weeks and that’s it. My mother was not provided with ANY aftercare instructions. No follow up appointment. And no wrappings or gauze or anything around her breasts!! It has been weeks and Dr. Wu nor his team have reached out to my mother regarding anything. She left with 2 papers, one being her bill and another listing the nurses and assistants that helped during the surgery. This has caused my mother a lot of emotional distress and pain. Please find another doctor. One that cares about his patients. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I choose dr wu because I already was a patient at st Joe's for my brain surgery and it seemed like the best hospital with the best doctors..boy do I wish I did my research and look at different surgeons before I had chosen him! I lost alot of weight and was looking for skin removal surgery. The first visit with him made me feel awkward. He wasnt pleasant at all. I waited a few more months to actually get the surgery to lose more weight. The day of surgery literally 2 minutes before I got wheeled in he decides to change how hes doing my incisions. To make a long story short my skin is still sagging like it was before, I have a big bulge to my upper stomach and honestly look worse than I did when I came in. I have golf ball size knot under my incision, my left side got very infected. I went and got a second opinion from another surgeon and have to get a second surgery to repair my stomach and belly button.
