Dr. Phani Nimmagadda, MD

I knew there was an issue when I couldn’t find any info about this dr on the internet, no hours nothing. I see her at 2171 Jericho, which is not listed as her address anywhere.. her entire staff is awful. The nurse berated me for taking over the counter medicine when I was in pain and they couldn’t schedule my appt for 2 days. Then, when my results came back negative for a bladder infection I get told just take otc meds until the pain goes away. A. Pick a side B. Your patient is in pain, already doing what your saying to do, it clearly isn’t helping and that’s your advice? Thanks for absolutely nothing.

Honestly she was a great doctor until she vanished. Left in the dust without a primary doctor without explanation can leave a very sour feeling on someone who's been seeing said doctor for years. Plus there were many of times I'd be waiting over an hour. One day I called to see if I can get a flu shot & receptionist told me to come now to get it. I was literally sitting there for almost 2 hrs. Another time I called when I was sick with a cold & was told to come at a certain time because she'll be able to see me. Nope.. she saw me after I sat in the waiting room for over an hour & a half. She also told me to see her husband for gastro issues before she disappeared. Saw him once for a consult & he told me the root of my problems was because I "chew too much gum & it can lead to diarrhea" When I told him it's not diarrhea at all that I'm having yet he kept telling me I did w/o a colonoscopy. Now 2 gastros later I'm diagnosed with IBS. Sorry for the lousy yet very honest review.

The first few visits went smoothly-quick wait time & responsive doctor.. Then things went sour. Appts would be cancelled at the last minute or I would show up and wait over 1 hour. The final straw is when I called before my appointment to see if the doctor was running on time. After being told to show up at a certain time, they saw other patients who had appts after mine only because they got there before me-when the office staff told me to come later. Don't go here unless you want to wait.

Dr Nimmagadda is kind and passionate. She takes her time with you and explains everything. Sometimes she runs behind a little but only because she sits with you in her office after the visit and answers any questions you might have.

This was the worst office. After fasting and showing up for a scheduled appointment Dr. Nimmagadda never shows up and the women working the desk pretty much said to bad. Would never use or recommend to anyone.
