Horrible receptionist staffing!
Dr Branshaw, nurses and referral staff are wonderful people!! The receptionists are horrible, disrespectful and unprofessional. I am struggling with a recent vascular disease which is becoming serious. Trying to get through to the doctor or nurse and receptionist has told me 'if it's that bad then go to urgent care' Just recently, again trying to get to the nurse after the nurse told me to call them back, same receptionist 'what's the problem?', I gave a brief summary, and she is giving me advise what I should do instead of transferring or leaving a message for the nurse. This person is clearly not aware or qualified to give me advise.

I’ve been seeing Dr B for over 30 yrs. I’m done. I can no longer deal with the egregious medical negligence of his staff. Staff will not allow you to talk to or most recently actually see the doctor when I had a major complaint with the staff. Getting prescriptions refilled in a timely manner is out of the question. Twice now I’ve had to experience withdrawal symptoms from meds not refilled before a weekend. Staff is rude, condescending, demanding and really doesn’t care about you as a patient. I’m filing a complaint with IDPH Professional Regulations for medical negligence of the office medical staff. And most recently when calling the office, would think you reached a doctors office in some 3rd world country. English is what’s spoken in America. Not once has the doctor had the courtesy to return my calls or personal and private correspondence. As far as I know the office staff never forwarded either.

Really like the doctor, but... Availability and hours of operation poor Office staff friendliness and diligence for refills and call backs- poor No urgent care Stuck with the Dr. for years even though my wife and sister-in-law changed years ago for the same reasons. Decided it is time for me to leave as well.

office takes forever to answer the phone, say they take your insurance when they don't, big 20ft long bloody-looking stain on the carpet, can't see you for several weeks when you call, even when it's a necessity, PA has bad attitude, misdiagnosed twice, been going there for years, fed up, not going anymore

I met Dr. Branshaw once when he covered for my doctor at Delnor. I was impressed. Kind and patient. Now that my Dr. has retired, i decided to see Dr. Branshaw for internal medicine. I called his office to schedule an apt. at 11:30 on a Thursday. The typical machine message answered and kicked my to the apt. line....NO ANSWER !!! 30 rings x 2 calls.......NO ANSWER. As is so common these days, good doctors are torpedoed by a terrible front office. That is HIS fault. He should be aware of that. I won't call again.

I love this Dr and his partners, how ever the office staff are absolutely the rudest and most unprofessional group of People I have ever encountered. There phone manner is terrible, and they will basically ignore people that are standing at the window waiting to be greeted. It’s a shame because the drs are very nice, but they are setting a terrible environment for this practice.

Let me start by saying that Dr Branshaw is a great doctor. I have been a patient for 15 plus years....however, I have decided to move on and switch practices due to the unprofessional and rude staff. When trying to call and make an appointment, the phone rang 20 times before the receptionist answered and said " please hold," and puts me on hold for another 12 minutes. I was told Dr Branshaw could not see me for over a month and my condition was not a priority and can wait. Poor customer service

After several experiences with other doctors who were gruff or condescending, I was fortunate to find Dr. Branshaw over 20 years ago. He listens to his patients. He explains procedures clearly. His referrals for my minor surgical procedures have been well matched to other talented physicians. He truly cares for his patients. He is respected by his peers-I have heard from several other doctors that Dr. Branshaw Is an excellent physician. I agree and I highly recommend him to family & friends.

Office unable to obtain very specific medical records (known date of service and report name) required for appointment with 6 weeks lead time. Office staff careless (not recording what I need) and rude. Many many phone calls about this. No confidence in what information actually got to the doctor. Had to cancel and find someone else. I only saw him once before this.

My husband was recently seen in the ED for a DVT and has worsening symptoms since. He called Dr. Branshaw's office for a follow up appointment and the receptionist/scheduler was rude and made absolutely no attempt to get him an urgent follow up appointment. He will not be seen for possibly 19 days following his ED visit. Not only is that unacceptable but the rudeness of the persons triaging Dr. Branshaw's schedule is as well. Dr. Branshaw himself is wonderful and we would highly recommend him.

Dr Branshaw is very helpful, listens and explains things. The office staff up front is horrible. They don"t greet you. Very hard to get thru on phone, and when you leave a message it never seems to get passed on. Branshaw"s nurse is also very helpful

Dr Branshaw is a good doctor but that does not help when you cannot get messages to him. The office staff is the worst I have ever encountered. They often do not bother to answer the phone at all and when they do messages frequently do not get passed along. I wish Dr. Branshaw would leave that office. The front desk can also be rude and apathetic. Sad. The 1 star is for Dr Branshaw only. I would give the office itself negative stars if I could.

Dr. Branshaw is great. Friendly, respectful and competent. His staff is horrible and for that reason I would not recommend him. They are unfriendly and generally unhelpful. They never make you feel welcome or valued. They act as if you are an inconvenience. In addition, scheduling is very difficult, often with 3-4 week wait times if you can get through to be scheduled.

Dr Branshaw is nice, but his staff is horrible. You leave emergency messages and ask to speak with him and don't get return calls. You have problems getting emergency test results. There is a communication problem with his staff. One of the nurses doesn't believe you are sick when you really are. It's hard to get quality care when you can't reach your doctor. Also the answering service doesn't leave messages. It shouldn't take 3 weeks to get in when you have had a medical situation.

He is my husbands doctor, and we just love him. My husband hates doctors, so for him to go see a doctor is a chore in itself but he has no problem going to see him. His nurse Shannon is amazing and is the best there is. It is very hard to get a hold of anyone in that office and some of the other staff members need to learn from Shannon but other than that, we absolutely love this doctor.
