DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!
Was referred to Dr Langer after a car accident. Had an MRI and according to the scan nothing was wrong. He did a physical exam for 2 seconds and said I needed it band release surgery. We paid him out of pocket because his office said he didn’t accent health insurance for surgery. 3 months after surgery I had debilitating pain in my hip and called back to his office. They told me he no longer works there and has disappeared off the map. The follow up doctor I saw at the same practice told us we never needed surgery. And I’m about to have a second surgery to correct his mistakes he left and did on me. I’ve been in a pain management program since his surgery because of the issues. no one should ever trust him.

Horrendous. I've typed a review that is so thorough, this box wont even hold all of it, so here are some bullet points: - I have had a history of orthopedic problems since childhood. Had numerous injections, relocations, splints and even surgeries where not a single tear was ever shed. This visit has been the single most humiliating, painful, and unpleasant experiences of my life and every ounce of that responsibility falls on Dr. Langer who I would now not even recommended to the worst person on the planet. Dr. Langer is rude, dismissive, slightly forceful, abrasive, impatient and has a bedside manner score that should range in the negatives. I was never given a diagnosis, explanation, or a treatment plan. I was never shown x-rays to show what was wrong and how his answer of an injection and cold compress would remedy my problem. I can say with 100% certainty that Dr. Langer will never once lay a finger on me again and I won't step back in the clinic as long as they endorse him.

After a botched surgery that left me on crutches for six months followed by a total hip replacement, Dr. Langer disappeared overnight from his former practice for ~ one year, only to resurface a year later at his current practice. HIs former practice would not say where he went (and closed a few months later), but his diplomas were literally ripped off the wall, leaving bare exposed holes in the wall, clearly taken down in a hurry. I have met multiple other former patients who had bad outcomes.

Dr Langer is an outstanding physician. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to care for his patients. When I broke my leg he took extra care in getting me back on my feet. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and thorough. It is more than obvious that he has a passion for orthopedics. His bedside manner and clinical expertise are truly admirable. I can’t thank him enough for the care I received.

This man should be known as the butcher of Atlanta. He did the second surgery on my shoulder. I was presented with legal documents to sign as I was being wheeled to the Operating Room. Who knows what they said. I didn't have my glasses. I learned a week after my surgery performed by Langer that he did not repair the tear on my rotator cuff because, ...you didn't hire me to do that." I in fact, had hired him to fix my shoulder no matter what was wrong with it.

Went for pain in my hips. After the MRI came back, he recommended immediate surgery on both hips for torn labrums. I took the results to 2 more surgeons for 2nd opinions and BOTH of them said not only did I not need surgery, but that the radiologist wrote a note in the results that I did NOT have torn labrums. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! One of the other Drs I saw (that used to work with him) said he'll put anyone under the knife for money, sometimes making up or exaggerating injuries to do so.

Surgery was a success my left knee is fully functional again. Langer and his staff was very helpful through this entire process they assigned me a top physical therapist Cara which was great at helping me to improve now just up to me to continue to condition myself back to the way I was physically before the injury and hopefully I never have to endure any future injuries that lead to surgery. Overall a great help and experience after surgery was completed. Thank You to Langer and his staff.

After reviewing my MRI Dr. Langer came into the room explained what he say and told me what needed to be done with the right knee. I actually told him to stop lying and he went out the room to his computer pulled up my MRI and asked me to come take a look and he explained the MRI to me and brought me back in the room and ask me if I had any questions of course I did and he answered for. When he was finished he left the room and then his assistant went over more details about the surgery.Excelle

I only dealt with Dr. Langer on one occasion; he diagnosed my problem quickly after viewing my MRI and x-rays. He recommended surgery but his staff was so inept that the surgery was never booked. Only after I called them twice about the preauthorization from insurance did I learn that they did not accept Medicare; that is my secondary insurance and unless I can use it I cannot have surgery. Now I cannot get anyone to return my calls. This info was on my original paperwork!!
