I am jaded by NYC doctors and wasn't expecting much at this annual checkup. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Dr. Martinez listens and takes time to go over your medical history and concerns with you and, wait for it, CALLS YOU BACK WITH RESULTS. He is extremely personable, kind, patient (har har) and friendly. A diamond in the rough at this free-for-all healthcare center in nitty gritty Alphabet City. I can't believe a doctor of this caliber is available via Medicaid. The 5 Star rating is for solely for Dr. Martinez. Ryan Nena is hit or miss as expected at a clinic of this type, in this neighborhood. (I am a proud resident of Alphabet City for 20+ years so no tea no shade. It just is what it is.)
