Kind and capable
Dr K has been so helpful to me... as new rheumatology patient she ordered all the right tests, went over the details and answered my questions about treatment options... have seen her 5 times... never a lengthy wait... a few times I've had to check up on office records related stuff but nowadays that's pretty typical w dr offices... i recommend her regularly... her English is fine in my opinion... her personality is a bit subdued but I don't see that as a lack of compassion at all... quite a treasure to have a capable female rheumatologist in texoma area... I don't drive to Mckinney etc

Dr Kumari does not explain anything. My first visit was 20 min. She ordered labwork, which after 4 visits, she told me she didn't have the results to. She does not return calls. She wanted to start a biologic on me, which I was never approved for financial assistance on. She could have tried another med, but didn't. I had to ask her several times to repeat something. After every sentence, she says Okay. Her accent is very hard to understand. Dr Kumari is very apathetic. I don't think she cares one way or another about patients. If you need a rheumatologist, seek a veterinarian before you go to her.

Not a Dr you want to see
The office doesn't anser phones, return calls or respond to Healow messages. 2 out of my last 3 visits I've recieved a call from Dr Kumari office saying "there's outstanding lab work I need completed before she can see me". I wasn't informed with more than 24hrs notice that any lab work needed to be done and they didn't order it any time before the call. I planned around my scheduled visit and had issues i needed to discuss with her, but unless i drop everything and run to get labs, the vist will be canceled. If you want a Dr that cares about their patients lives and schedules especially dealing with a chronic medical condition like rheumatologist patients deal with, then you should find a different doctor like I am.

Dysfunctional practice
The Dr is ok. She is a little cold with her patients, but that isn't the worst part. Dealing with her office is just a nightmare. They cancel appointments at the last moment because they can't seem to let people know about lab work or other items that patients need to get prior to their next visit. Trying to actually get in touch with the office is almost impossible. They don't answer the phones, they don't return voice messages left, and they even can't return messages left on the phone app that they request all patients to download and use. Wouldn't recommend unless you just really need to have a uncomfortable relationship with a medical 'professional.'
