I have seen Dr. Kalluri for for a while as I try to manage an unhappy back. He explains things very well, does not act rushed, does not push surgery, but says I will know when the time is right. He is in a new practice now, so I am not sure about office staff or any of that.

Dismissive and Judgemental
1. Dismissive of the worst pain I've ever felt in my life and took weeks to prescribe anything. (Bulging disc pinching sciatic nerve)2. Scheduled me for a procedure and didn't explain a single thing to me.3. Scheduled the procedure for both sides when only right side was effected. This was what I told him and was obvious from the MRI. If the surgeon hadn't caught it, I would've gotten the wrong injection.4. Was incredibly condescending when he finally did prescribe something - a narcotic - even though I asked for something non-narcotic. 5. Also prescribed gabapentin AFTER I told him it negatively effects my mental health.It felt very 'if you want something, you can take this one that breaks your brain'.If you like suffering and feeling guilty for wanting to not be in pain, see him. If you like to function and not lose time to pain, go elsewhere. I have never felt so disrespected and dismissed.

Caring and Compassionate
Dr. Kalluri removed my spine stimulator that was implanted by another physician and he did an amazing job. I am very pleased with the results. The pain was more than I expected but he was helpful in getting it under control. Thank you Dr. Kalluri.

Emergency surgery
Dr. Kalluri did emergency surgery on my spine and the outcome was awesome. The recovery was great and his PA was great. My surgery was done at petersburg Bon Secours hospital. I can still walk which is a miracle!(and a successful surgery with no need for long term pain management.

Dr. Kalluri is an excellent surgeon. He has a quiet manner but is brilliant with spine issues. He has done two bone fusions on me in different areas of the spine and I feel great. He explains your MRI and/or xrays in an understandable manner for the non-medical patient. HE IS AWESOME!!!!!
