Dr. Rao's performance has left me with lifelong consequences. Following what should have been a routine procedure, I was in extreme pain. He responded by telling me I was being "a baby". I developed a life-threatening infection and was hospitalized. I found him insensitive and uncaring. Another physician referred to him as a "dirty surgeon". Do not receive care from Dr. Rao.

Talks about other surgeries he performs as you are sitting there for trying to get answers after being told you DO NOT have cancer to you DO have cancer.

Completely unprofessional. Dr. Prakashchandra M. Rao, M.D. is extremely rude, arrogant and disconnected to his patients. He acts as if he is superior to you (the patient) as opposed to someone who is there to care for you. I would not ever recommend.

St. John's Hospital employees some of the worst physicians possible. I work in healthcare and have worked in several hospitals throughout the course of my career and am shocked by how disgusting and unprofessional their physicians are (well, the ones I have had experience with anyway). Dr. Prakashchandra M Rao , a surgeon who recently worked on my mother has to be one of the most unsympathetic and unprofessional man I have encountered in my experiences with healthcare.
