Dr. Preethi John, MD

She has listened to my experience with previous oncology physicians & tried to help me understand. She is astute, knowledgeable and capable. She spends the right amount of time and covers important information. She tries to help the patient do the important things to get better and deal with medication side effects. She knows when medication side effects are getting beyond what patient is able to handle. She walks alongside me in treating me. She is excited about her own life, which is great because dealing with cancer all day would be difficult. She is someone who everyone would desire to emulate. She has had great experience for what she is doing. When she is with you, she is with you and not trying to do other things which distract from the time you have. She's good at answering questions and we all have questions because cancer is new and frightening. She makes everything seem like it will be somehow okay without saying it will be okay. She knows that this is not easy.

She reviews and discusses your chart with you before examining you. She follows up on any previous questions or concerns from your last visit. She takes her time when examining you and always ask me after the examine, do you have any more questions for me? Which is a confirmation for me that she is listening and patient because I always have several questions written down.
