Do not go here for routine physical exam/pap smear
I have seen Dr. Patel twice. The first time, she wasn't personable and quick to end the visit. Granted, I do not have much going on medically so the speediness of the visit made sense at the time. The second time, I saw her for routine physical and specified that I wanted this with a pap smear. Once I got to the visit, she said she doesn't do pap smears "anymore" and gave me a referral to gynecology instead. She said "We also don't do breast exams here, so we want to encourage women to go to a gynecologist. Then, you can get both breast and pelvic exam with pap." The visit was also quick and impersonable. This is confusing and makes me wonder what she does for patients during routine physical exams when she's dishing out referrals for preventative screening that she can do (and most PCPs do) in office. Pap and breast exam are both screening/physical exams she is fully trained to do as PCP.
