I wish I had not used Dr. Quan-Yang Duh
Nov 2022 I had surgery by Dr. Quan-Yang Duh for a parathyroidectomy. I went into surgery healthy, except for my parathyroid. I came out barely alive. What Dr. Duh and UCSF did wrong:- did not definitively determine which gland was bad. - did hours of exploratory surgery which caused me to bleed out and go into emergency surgery. - sent me home from ICU with my vitals at life threatening levels. - removed 2 viable PTH glands.- acted against my specific instructions not to touch the node on my thyroid unless it was malignant.- tried but failed to remove my Thymus gland for no reason.- couldn’t recognize I was in a Thyroid Storm that Dr. Duh caused, which caused me to have to stop working. I believe 100% of these problems were caused because Dr. Duh’s ego forced him to do extended exploratory surgery instead of admitting his ultrasound was wrong and more tests were needed and simply closing me up. In this case, my life was less important than Dr. Duh’s ego.
