not confidence instilling
seems more interested in running down her own ideas than listening to and addressing my legitimate health concerns. no sense of urgency in correctly interpreting and acting on my lab results - insistent on following red herring theories and ordering expensive tests. fat shamed me more than once, which is both counterproductive and clearly not the cause of these recent onset issues. (I’ve recently lost weight and the symptoms haven’t abated.)

Capable and Understanding
I was pleased with her reviewing my health record, family history, and her interest in me as the patient. She was personable and capable of dealing with my health need. I will return to Dr. Harter for future visits. Her assistant, Anna, was also very personable.

not well qualified and cold
I saw Dr Harter several times over 2-3 years. She called in prescriptions incorrectly and late, gave answers I could find myself on internet. Missed red flags on lab results. Not sure if she is new to the field or what. Also talked to me like I’m dumb. (I’m 15 years her senior and worked in the medical field many years). She is a DO, not an MD (there IS a difference). Seems unwilling/unable to dig deeper if there is anything but the most basic diagnosis. Lacks warmth. After finally having enough, I switched to another doctor. Guess what - I HAVE LEUKEMIA. He suspected immediately after looking at the exact bloodwork Harter had for 2 years. I mentioned my high WBC to Harter several times but she ignored it. Save your life, time and money and see another physician who cares and is qualified. She is “phoning it in” and doing bare minimum.

I saw Dr. Harter at Ridgeview Chanhassen Clinic. She does not listen well, and seems more interested in making money for the clinic than addressing patient needs.
