Horrible callous doctor
My appointment with Dr Ferrara was an utter waste of time. I brought up concerns with her that she just brushes away. I don’t write reviews for healthcare professionals even if they are bad because I am a healthcare provider. However, Dr Ferrara is the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. She doesn’t listen, she’s a know it all, she doesn’t try to get to know her patients, she doesn’t want to order anything or help you with reasonable requests. There are a ton of other great doctors at UCLA. Go see one of them instead. I wish I read a review like this before I saw her. The worst part about the appointment was her bad attitude. You can’t talk to anyone like that about anything doctor or not. She super defensive and flustered she’s pretty argumentative we didn’t even discuss my health practically because she’s so caught up in her flustered-ness.

I am 54 years old and have lived on the east coast and the west coast and have seen a lot of doctors over time depending on my location and insurance at the time. That being said, Dr. Ferrara is THE BEST DOCTOR I have ever had. The first time I came in, she, and her entire staff, took their time to get to know me, to really listen to my history and concerns and to allow me to participate in my own medical care. When an issue or a medication is discussed, it is discussed. My input and her input are both taken into account. She is knowledgeable, kind, caring, and invested for the long haul. I am in the process of considering a move back to the east coast and one of the few things keeping me here is Dr. Ferrara. I'd commute for her. You would be so lucky to have her as your doctor.

Dr Ferrara is incredibly thorough and has great bedside manner. She actively listens and explains things very clearly. It’s obvious she cares about her patients and in my experience she has gone above and beyond every time to make me feel comfortable and ensure that all of my issues have been addressed. I would highly recommend her!!

Expect to wait an hour. Doctor unlikely to grant referrals which leads me to believe her compensation is tied to costs of patient care.

This was my first visit to this doctor. I was flexible with my time and they were able to squeeze me in the next working day. The staff was very courteous. The doctor did a routine check up and i felt she was very thorough, courteous and took the time to explain things clearly. Test results were emailed to me the next day (With a thorough explanation from the doctor.) Overall i was very pleased with this doctor and the staff.

My wife and I have come to the office several times to see Dr. Ferrara, Dr. Kassan and Dr. Rodriguez for both scheduled visits and urgent visits such as back pain. The doctors spend the time to take a good history and explain the diagnosis and plan well. The staff is very friendly. In regards the comments above about antibiotics, what I like about the office is that they follow recommended guidelines such as not using antibiotics for the common cold.

No empathy, did not help. Repeated the official protocol on antibiotics and throat infections, saying the side effects can be multiple and refused the Rx. Completely ignored the fact that my primary condition was worse than any possible side effects. Suggested I take Motrin. Waste of time.
