Dr K is an excellent pediatrician, she is thorough and absolutely at the top. However, be forewarned, as your child becomes a teenager it will be more & more difficult to have her make your child a priority. There are quit a few instances that I felt this way but this latest incident tops it. As knowledgeable & trustworthy as she is if your college student just steps off a plane from having to fly home with a bad case of mono & she can not see you within 40 mins of the scheduled “sick visit” & her assistant tells you there is another patient ahead of you when you indicate the urgency, having difficulty breathing/swollen glands, they either don’t understand what an “emergency visit” is or simply don’t care. My son has aged out & never have to deal with her again. It’s one thing to have the same doctor for 18 years treat your child so they have a full perspective of their state of health but when the doctor’s time trumps your child’s health it is time to say goodbye.
