Dr Rachel Pessah-Pollack, is the true epitome of a Doctor. She is a fantastic doctor. She is the reason why I have my baby. i first went to her when my thyroid level was very high and after miscarriages due to the thyroids. . She worked with me to get my levels to normal. She was also there during the pregnancy. She always gave words of encouragement and ensured that everything was moving. I must say it was a very enjoyable experience. I just want to say thank you! Thank You!!!

I was seen by the nurse who asked what my concerns were. I told her I had a list of them. She said to prioritize one, so I said weight gain. I thought I would be able to go over the other concerns with Dr. Pollack. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The first question she asked after hearing about my struggle with weight was whether or not I had considered weight loss surgery. That question set the tone for the rest of the visit, and I felt Dr. Pollack rushed to judgement without first taking a full medical history, listening to my list of concerns, or taking into account my history of successful weight loss through diet and exercise. Additionally, the whole point of me going to a specialist was for a full, thorough exam to get to the bottom of all my symptoms. I didn’t even get the chance to go through them, and Pollack only ran one test on my thyroid (TSH). I felt I was treated as “another overweight patient complaining” as opposed to an individual. I cannot recommend.
