Rude and Insensitive
I would give her zero stars if I could. I met her today while she was on call for my current OBGYN. When I mentioned I wanted another child and asked about how I could prepare my body for a healthy pregnancy at 42 she told me that I would more than likely have a baby with Down’s Syndrome and that it would ruin my family. Those were her exact words. She kept repeating that any baby I had at my age would have a chromosomal abnormality. When I mentioned I got pregnant with my daughter at 40, she said I just got “lucky” that time. She also said people wouldn’t even let me use my own eggs for IVF at 42 because they are all bad. Literally, I had never met this woman in my life and she said all this to me.

Terrible bedside manner and shamed and criticized me for crying from the pain and told me it was because i wouldn’t stop clenching as instructed. Worst experience I’ve ever had at 46 yrs of age.

Rude and bedside manners could be improved by a lot. Wasted my time driving an hour to an office that really did nothing.

She assisted with my wife’s c-section and she made some very rude comments very loudly for all to hear about my wife. I could hear her all the way out in the hall where I was waiting while they were giving my wife a spinal tap. She didn’t say one word to me or my wife the whole time. Her work was fine, my wife and daughter are perfect, but her bedside manner was horrendous and we will not allow her to assist on any future pregnancies.

Waited in the waiting room for an hour, the triage room for 15 minutes, and the exam room for 20 minutes. When I finally met the doctor an hour and 20 minutes after my appointment time, I asked if I could expect this wait time every time. The doctor was extremely rude and basically kicked me out at that point.

I have a severe hearing loss and had a hard time understanding parts of our conversation. Dr Petersen, bless her heart, was so patient with me as she explained again facts I needed to know. It’s obvious that she really cares about her patients and she knows her stuff.

I would be very cautious about sending any working moms or anybody that has a job here. I think Dr Petersen is a great doctor she sits and listens to all your concerns and doesn't make you feel dumb. But the time you have to wait in the waiting room and then again when you get back in to a room is ridiculous. I waited over an hour on multiple occasions to see her and had to reschedule two apts because I had to go back to work. So if you don't have a job or a busy schedule she is great!

I had my first visit last year. I waited forever to be seen. The exam was not thorough and my questions were not answered. After a phone call 10 minutes before my appointment I was told I had to reschedule. No appointments till April. I am having issues and needdd to be seen. I hung up and immediately found another Dr. I don’t recommend her.

We had a routine sonogram and checkup with Dr. Petersen. We waited 20 minutes for the sonogram and over and hour and 20 min after the sonogram for the Dr. Apt. After asking what was going on we were told the Dr. had an emergency c-section and we would be seen next. Once with the Dr she had no mention of the c-section and said she was delayed with apts from a lot of new Mom’s who had questions. How long do you let your patients sit in the waiting room before you tell them it’s going to be long

I LOVE DR. PETERSEN. She was my OB through two high risk pregnancies both with pre-eclampsia and was more than attentive, knowledgeable, candid, and caring. This to the point of checking in with me personally at least daily post-partum as we were trying to treat my blood pressure and adjust medications. She has always communicated options regarding my health during my pregnancies and after, consulted

Dr. Petersen is an incredible Doctor, from the first visit in her office for my wife's OB check-up she was wonderful. She always takes as much time as a patient needs to discuss questions. She closely monitored my wife's high-risk pregnancy, she was in constant contact with the ER nurses one night when my wife was sick. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Petersen

I would not recommend seeing Dr. Petersen as a Gynecologist. My first experience was fair, waiting time was normal but staff was not as welcoming or comforting as her website makes them seem. Once seen she did not try to make me feel comfortable it. There was no regard for my opinion as far as my prescription or actions of care were concerned. Most of all it was almost impossible to arrange an appointment that fit my needs even in an emergency case, and no referral for immediate care was given.
