I would absolutely recommend Dr Rittman as she has managed my medications for several years. She has helped me grow and reach a better quality of life. I am able to be honest about my feelings, dynamics with my work, home and personal life without the fear of being ‘brushed’ off. She is engaging, listens attentively, gives insight and offers suggestions vs waiting for you to self discover your feelings, reactions and triggers. She has diagnosed and treated me correctly when I have been incorrectly diagnosed so many times. I’m am so glad to have her as a doctor.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Rittman for between 3-4 years. After seeking mental health support for a number of years, and seeing several mental health professionals, she is the first that has really helped improve my mental health and my life in tangible ways. She picked a medication for me that has been helpful and explained the way that the medication functions in a very accessible way. Working with Dr.Rittman is a very collaborative process, and I feel that she really values my input when determining treatment. She is an excellent listener, asks good questions, and gives very solid advice that is simple, straight forward, and feels achievable in my day to day life.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Rittman?
My daughter saw Dr. Rittman for over a year. She was prescribed a SSRI for anxiety, and after my daughter started having negative side effects, Dr. Rittman refused to consider that they were caused by the medication. I asked her what percentage of people on this medication had such side effects; she didn't know the answer and didn't look it up between appointments. When I showed her the research indicating that it was 20-30 percent, she still refused to consider the possibility. After I shared this, I asked her how likely it was that the side effects were due to the medication, and she said 10%. (An absurd answer, statistically). She wanted to increase her dosage, and she suggested my daughter might have a specific medical condition. When I shared this with her pediatrician, she actually laughed. We switched psychiatrists; he placed her on a different medication; the side effects went away and she has been doing much, much better.
