Dr. Rachel Semmons, MD

I walked out after 7 hours. No test were ever ordered. She was not willing to follow the pcp's recommendation. It became clear the next person was going to do nothing as well. My primary requested an exam due to new post menopausal bleeding while there for an oncology pre op. Vulnerable patient became extremely ill while in the ER. NO care was given. Next doctor tried to tell me this person did a physical exam. NOPE. Nothing.

Dr. Semmons completely missed an obvious diagnosis. She told me she reviewed my bloodwork results and "everything is normal." My jaw dropped when I got home from that waste of time and money and saw, while downloading the ER paperwork to give to my primary care doctor (PCP), that my fasting glucose level was much too high (230), even for a diabetic, and I had never been declared diabetic (bloodwork done every 3 months for years). [For reasons unknown by me, my PCP also ignored my reports from the first ER visit, so she was fired, and I had not yet seen my new PCP.] Ended up at another ER (same hospital, different campus) about 6 weeks later and spent 3 days there because my kidneys had completely shut down, and I wasn't far from a coma. By that time, that ER's glucose meter gave a reading of 588 (bloodwork showed 572). Never should have happened. I'm sorry to see only 1 star reviews on here for Dr. Semmons, but I'm not surprised; and unfortunately, I must add another single star.
