Dr. Shakked was a highly engaged, empathetic, and knowledgeable doctor throughout my journey. From early, uncertain diagnosis through to a successful surgery and recovery - I feel extremely lucky to have met and worked with her. My first experience with Dr. Shakked since surgeon who replaced both ankles has retired. I was impressed from the initial diagnosis through rapidly scheduled surgery to correct problem. Once I'm back on my feet, I'll be heading back to see how Dr. Shakked can correct a severely arthritic big toe!

Had a 44 yr old injury to both ankles. Dr Shakked came highly recommended from my son in law who’s an orthopedic surgeon (hands) she was extra patient and thorough. Went over all the options. Had my right ankle fired last Oct and my left one 11 days ago. Pain free!

Dr. Rachel Shakked is the best orthopedic ankle specialist and I don't have enough good things to say about her. I had my ankle hardware removal surgery with her and I was up and walking just after 2 weeks. The best professional orthopedic specialist I met so far. If you are deciding, don't think twice to visit Dr. Shakked for any foot and ankle related problems.

My previous experience with this provider, some doctors do not want to answer questions if you are not a surgical candidate and make you feel you're wasting their time, or not available afterwards. Dr Shakked is willing to answer all your questions (with a smile) and the staff is great.

Careful, thorough analysis and discussion of problem with possible options to consider at the start. When surgery selected, she assured I fully understood what to expect, including recovery time and protocols. She did the same on the day of the operation and follow up and made it explicitly clear she could be called anytime if I had any concerns. The communications among her, her support staff, and others assisting her were excellent throughout. It truly was a pleasure having a potentially painful operation done by her. My recovery is proceeding right as she lead me to expect.

We visited many doctors on the east coast before deciding on Dr. Shakked. We are extremely happy with the care she provided. Her knowledge, surgical skills , and confidence are remarkable. I had a previous foot surgery but it wasn’t complete & after having pain for a few years Dr Shakked was recommended & I feel blessed to have met her. She is an excellent surgeon she reconstructed my foot in September 22 & I can’t wait to fully heal. My foot is straight & the healing process although slow will be well worth it. I had no pain after surgery & still have non. It’s been rough being no weight bearing for 3 months but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can never Thank Dr Shakked enough for helping me get back to walking.

Dr.Shakked is a great surgeon. Very protocol oriented, calm under pressure and willing to make time to see you the same or next day. I think though she could be more compassionate with dealing with patients that have anxiety & depression. As I was told to elevate foot from 9/16 by the ER, and then again on 9/18 when I seen by Dr. Shakked due to swelling I wasn’t able to have surgery until 9/30. Then I was placed on elevation above heart for 2 weeks post opt. I honestly think I got cabin fever. I have a great support system but recovery is hard when it’s done right. I’m now 3 weeks out post opt and I finally feel like I’m getting life back.

After having surgery by another doctor and it being a total failure I went to Dr shakked and she did a total foot reconstruction and I have had absolutely zero pain after surgery She is totally awesome!

Dr Shakked is the best. She knew immediately what the problem was with my foot and the surgery to correct was successful. She is very nice to deal with and also very thorough. She took as much time as I needed to understand.

I have arthritis in my big toes that caused repeated ankle sprain for years (about 20 ankle sprains). Dr Shakked was my 5th doctor trying to resolve my issues and the only one to correctly diagnose and treat me. There is no other foot and ankle specialist I’ll ever go to! Yes, she’s that good and that attentive to the needs of her patients!

Follow up visit from pre pandemic regarding arthritis and potential treatment.

Two weeks ago Dr Shakked performed surgery on my foot. She did an excellent job and I am healing well. I can’t say enough about the care I received from her. She is a wonderful doctor and I would recommend her to everyone.
