Laminectomy fusion
I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Raed Ali for the outstanding care he provided to my dad. Dr. Ali performed a laminectomy with fusion on my father, and the results have been nothing short of miraculous. Before the surgery, my dad struggled with severe pain and mobility issues. Thanks to Dr. Ali’s expertise, he has made a remarkable recovery and can now walk comfortably again. Dr. Ali’s excellent bedside manner made the entire process much easier for our family. He took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly and answered all our questions with patience and clarity. His compassion and dedication to his patients are truly commendable. As a spinal orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ali is exceptional in every way. His skill, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients set him apart. We are beyond thankful for the positive impact he has had on my dad’s health and quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Raed.

Interesting how this site would not print my review, only the star rating. 4 years later and I still have nerve pain in my leg. I never had pain in my leg before surgery. He didn't seem to care about my problems after surgery. I will say my back does has much less pain then before surgery, but I just traded back pain for leg pain.

Excellent Doctor
Today was my 6 month post-op visit with Dr Ali. I had 3 discs replaced and then cervical fusion of C4-C7. For years I’ve had pain but it got to a point where I felt numbness in my arm and fingers. It was time to fix this since I was damaging nerves. I was pretty nervous to get this surgery but when I discussed it with Dr.Ali, he explained everything he was going to do and it ultimately made me feel more comfortable with my decision to get surgery. Since my surgery, not only do I have NO PAIN whatsoever, but the mobility of my neck is better than it’s been in over 15 years! On top of that, you can barely see the scar, it’s maybe 1/2 inch to an 1 inch at most. It’s incredible how delicate he must have been to cut that small and yet do that extensive amount of work. I told him today that I knew I was bad but didn’t realize how much pain and immobility I had been suffering until now! I really feel wonderful! Great bedside manners! I would definitely recommend Dr. Ali for any spine issues!

Last year in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic Dr. Ali and his team treated me. This was done at great personal risk to Dr. Ali and his staff and I am forever indebted to him and them. My surgical procedure was lumbar fusion. I had numbness emanating from my lower spine, running under my butt and across and down my right leg. Because of Dr. Ali's outstanding professional knowledge and skill he was able to clean up the area, insert 12 four inch long titanium screws and a crossbrace. This sounds horrible, I know. But now, just over one year later, I am pain and numbness free with great mobility. Through long physical therapy (success does not come without effort) I am in an entirely better physical place than where I was. Dr. Ali is educated in his craft, but he and his staff more importantly are caring and listen closely to feedback I give them. If you need major back surgery as I did, Dr. Ali is all I could have ever wanted. I am very fortunate that he is in my life.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Ali. I was very fortunate to have Dr. Ali do my extensive back surgery in Jan. 2020. I have had very good results with the elimination of my leg pain and weakness. I feel if Dr. Ali had not done my surgery I would not be walking today. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ali

Doctor Ali did my back surgery, A very hard surgery I might add, in November 2020. I had 3 disc laminectomy and 6 disc fusion done in 5.5 hours. He did my surgery as he promised. After 3 months wearing the dreaded vest, I have started my physical therapy as he ordered and I am getting back to my normal life with a vert little lingering pain from surgery. I cannot thank Dr. Ali enough to give me my mobility back. I would recommend him to any one who has back pain issues.

After 15 years of back pain I went to Dr. Ali. He tried epidurals and ablation to reduce the level 7 pain I was living with . These procedures did not work ! We agreed on lumbar fusion of my lower back. 4 months after surgery I have zero pain without any medication ! I could not speak more highly of Dr. Ali’s surgical ability ! I would highly recommend Dr. Ali for your back surgery needs !

I had two procedures done with this doctor. The only reason I saw him was because he was on call at the hospital. For after care, I found it very difficult to get appts with my Dr instead of the PA and he was very condescending. When trying to talk about my own fears, he kept throwing out that if "such and such didn't work, we'd just do this surgery or that surgery." It scared me. He wasn't a Dr who listened to me.

I had tremendous discomfort in my legs to the point that I found it difficult to walk any distance. Dr. Ali informed me that I had spine structure problems and surgery was really the only option. The operation was a true lifesaver, no more pain or canes. He and his staff of true professionals took care of me during recovery and, as he promised, I am able to do virtually all that I was doing before my spine problems. I am thankful for for Dr. Ali's skill, dedication, and professionalism that will allow me to move forward in the future instead of sitting on the sidelines. I recommend Dr.Ali, without reservation to anyone requiring a skilled and compassionate surgeon. To me, he is the best

Dr Ali did my back surgery. He fixed my L3,L4,L5 and S1. He is an amazing doctor and would never recommend anyone else. He is very knowledgeable about any new procedures. He is very intelligent and has great bedside managers. He was the 5th doctor I checked out before my surgery and I found him to be the very best. Please, if you are looking for a doctor, he is the one!!!!!

The very best back doctor – Jan 09, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ali?
I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Raed Ali for his brilliant surgical skills as he performed an anterior cervical fusion on Sept 5, 2020 -post op @ 9 wks. My initial visit after many years was via zoom because of COVID. I was very skeptical, but Dr Ali was able to see my limitations. I was So wrong. Dr had old MRI films of my cervical and spine and from the virtual exam he ordered 3 new MRI Views. Second visit was via zoom, Dr was right, I had 3 different issues, worst being a cervical bulge that was causing radiculpathy & great havoc in my life. I was so scared, but at the same time, his empathy and the ability to convey what would happen made me feel at ease. Within 24 hrs his staff had auth from insurance and surg was scheduled. Being in pain, for many years, I thought that’s what my life would always be, not anymore Wks before visit, I was sent Hm by a PA at ER & said there’s nothing wrong with you, it’s just arthritis and Fibromyalgia-she didn’t listen. Dr. Ali listens

Dr. Ali performed lower spine surgery on me, as I had a sciatic problem going down my left leg. I suffered in pain for many years. Dr. Ali recommended surgery where he would insert and screw-in 2 titanium rods, one on either side of my spine. He said he would "un-pinch" my nerve to resolve the issue, and he did. I can honestly say that after the surgery I had no more pain, instant relief as he promised. I am still in recovery, but moving along nicely. Thank you Doctor. I highly recommend anyone with back issues to Dr. Ali.

When I came to Dr. Raed Ali I was at pain level 10 and couldn’t even sleep it was so bad. Dr. Ali and his professional staff made me feel very comfortable and assured me that I was in good hands. I had 3 collapsed disks and one bulging. The ACDF surgery went very smooth and recovery was only overnight at St. Judes. M y follow up and physical therapy have been very successful and I am stronger and better than I was before meeting Dr. Ali. Thank you Dr. Ali.

Exceptional. Trustworthy? Without a doubt. Competency? I trust his surgical skills explicitly. Would not have any other orthopedic doctor operate on neck or back. He has performed 3 cervical and 1 lumbar. Were all of the surgeries necessary? If I didn’t want paralysis caused by pinched nerves (which I had) or fractured vertebrae (C-2 was severally fractured), then, my trust in Dr. Ali was paramount. No back pain, neck feels good (reduced rotation – a lot of hardware in the neck) and I able to return to near normal activities. As mentioned, I trust him.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ali. I'm a middle aged man that has had back pain from an injury that I sustained in the military. I suffered for 20+ years and held off Spinal Fusion for a very long time. I lived a very active lifestyle with my family and kids but the pain was so debilitating that it became more and more difficult to keep up with the kids. I "shopped" around for various surgeons until I found Dr. Ali. Dr. Ali's compassion and full explanation of my injury and the different options that were available to me is what ultimately made me choose Dr. Ali. We worked together to develop a treatment plan and everything was just as he had explained from all the pre-op visits, to the surgery date and post-op follow-ups. He gave me my life back. I cannot thank him enough for have a very successful spinal fusion procedure.
