Dr. Rafael Mas, MD

Affiliated with Leon Medical. Experienced sarcasm, and disregard, one night when my father was in the ER at Coral Gables Hosp., sent by ambulance by Leon Medical suffering from gallstones. This doctor called the ER and spoke to me on the phone telling me that there wasn’t anything wrong with my father. He had been sedated and I couldn’t take him home under the circumstances. Needless to say he told me an ambulance would bring my 96 year old dad home. No one came to get my dad, because it was late hours and Leon Medical ambulances do not work evenings. Of course I didn’t know. Somehow they called some ambulance that my poor mom said it was the worst transport , it wasn’t even an ambulance. They sat my father down on the front seat. A few days later, my dad had to be hospitalized and his gall bladder removed. The surgeon told me it was rotted and he thought it would fall apart as he removed it. This doctor Mas told me sarcastically there was nothing wrong with my dad.
