Weird
I will say that he was fairly thorough. However I could tell that my clarifying questions were annoying him. He even sighed and rolled his eyes just because I asked him to clarify what he said. After the appt. I walked in to the hallway and he scolded me and said “I said to wait in the room until the tech comes to see you” in a very annoyed/bossy/disrespectful tone. He also cancelled an appt that I had waited 3 months for, and had to wait 3 more months to get in that rescheduled date. No go on this cat. Not a fan of arrogant doctors.

An excellent doctor!! I had a consult with Dr. Rizk after my doctor and the hospital in Grand Rapids were unable to find the cause of my problem or come up with a diagnosis. I was given an appointment with Dr. Rizk within a few days after my initial call to the U of M clinic. When I first saw him, he had already reviewed my records, told me what he thought and formulated a plan to confirm his suspicions. He ordered more tests and medications to help with the issues I was having. He was very attentive, caring and understanding and very professional. Due to the distance traveled to see him, he worked with my PCP to provide appropriate treatment closer to home as much as possible. He was definite with his diagnosis and picked up on and treated some additional problems that my other doctors had missed. He resolved my problems and reassured me moving forward. I would highly recommend Dr. Rizk to anyone needing a gastroenterologist.

He resolved my health issue but his office staff and nurse are terrible. They do not return calls for prescription refills. I called every day for a week and they never return calls. Front office is rude and they don’t care. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

Today was my first visit to see Dr Rizk! He is amazing! His diagnosis was right on. After over a year of frustration post surgery, thankfully I found an excellent specialist who takes the time to explain & treat the patient! I look forward to continue receiving my care @ gastrenterolgy clinic - Briarwood! The staff are courteous & pleasant! Orinigally my appointment was scheduled in August, the kind secretary placed in a waiting list & was able to advance my appointment, thank you. The 2nd year medical student is fortunate enough to receive thorough training & mentorship by Dr Rizk! At the end, U did not mind the wait, it was worth it! Thank you.

Yelled at me. Demeaned me. Harrassed me about my PTSD during a panic attack he triggered by assaulting me during an "exam". Tried to report him and they did nothing. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

Never see this doc. again. Very bad experience, impatient, sometimes with very aggressive or even offensive words.

Horrible doctor. I felt mistreated by him and staff. Extremely long wait times. I got sicker in his care then finally switched to realize my health was declining. Arrogant and didn't listen to what my issues were.

My experience with Dr. Risk was excellent! He practiced great listening skills & explained my condition very well. He told me that the results of lab work/tests would be posted to the internet portal, if they were normal; and that is what he did, along with a message to me. I had an abnormal MRI result; he called me & explained the situation to me & helped me to understand the next steps to resolution. The diagnosis and treatment he provided has been "life-changing"! I highly recommend Dr. Rizk!

Consistently 30+ minutes late to the appointment, does not review patient information. He had no idea what my visit was about despite it being a FOLLOW-UP appointment that HE told me to make, and despite me giving the information when scheduling AND checking in. During the appointment he was completely uninterested, spoke in an arrogant tone, and simply wanted to get me out as quickly as he could.

This person is uninterested in patient health. He does not review records before appointments to which he is consistently 30 to 60 minutes late. I left the last appointment without seeing him after 60 minutes. He sends you for tests and you have no idea what he communicated to the test tech and you never hear the results or plan from any of the tests. I spent 3 years paying my high deductible ($5,000) trying to get help. I still have the exact same pain. Incompetent. Waste of time.
