Dr. Rafel El-Atassi, MD

He took his time to explain what ws going on and what needed to happen. Took care of it in just a few weeks and he was wonderful today as well! Answered my questions, his team was fantastic and the nurses were truly Angels. Will definately see this Dr. again!

This is the second visit he was rude to my mom and myself. Couldn't find or didn't have the info about the pacemaker he replaced last year. Told us pacemaker was dead and asked me to show the pacemaker info. He left the room saying nothing while the nurse (who is great) reset the machine. He checked again and never said that it was working or sorry for insinuating it was bad because the pacemaker was old or acknowledging the age of the pacemaker when I showed him the info with dates. At the end of visit my mom said she was lucky that she is doing very good. He replied, "You are not very good, you are ok." my mom is in her late 80s and had dementia

The Doctor implanted a pacemaker about 2 years ago. Since then I see him twice a year. He is very nice and whenever I visit he is on time and spends as much time as I need. I don't understand the low ratings as that has not been my experience.

He is the most rude and condescending doctor i have ever dealt with, and i have dealt with many. I would attempt to politely answer his questions, but if i didn't answer properly he would get angry and rudely snap at me "thats not what im asking you!". I responded by saying. I apologize. He responded to that with "dont apologize to me" in an angry voice. Then when i questioned him as to why he was switching my meds he got angry and leaned against the wall and mumbled "fine, dont do what i tell you to do". Then he just stormed out of the room leaving me sitting there wondering what the hell just happened.. Even the secretary looked scared and confused. I told my wife, I'm out of here, nobody deserves to be talked to like that. As we left he confronted me in the hall and said "you want a second opinion, i read it on your face". I said, no. I didn't, and i left. This type of behavior was unwarranted, rude and condescending. I never spoke rudely to him nor was i ever disrespectful to him

He explains what I have wrong with my heart and how to help it. He’s kind, empathetic and very knowledgeable. I am very happy he is my cardiologist.

Rude and totally ignored Eveything I said. Was extremely condescending and showed no interest in providing care.
