Adden¨dem to previous review.
In my previous review I forgot to mention that I am 96 years old, and another urologist at the same facility had been very dismissive. She didn’t bother to examine me or even really listen to me or ask questions--just scribbled a quick prescription which was completely ineffective. She couldn't get rid of me fast enough. Also forgot to mention that Alice and others on Dr. Bruno's staff were very kind and helpful.

Arrogant and rude!
This doctor is useless. He kept commenting on my weight with a disgusted look on his face. I had a burst ovarian cyst, which was not related to my weight. He was rude and condescending the whole time I was in the hospital. I wouldn't trust him to care for a goldfish. The fact that someone like this with no bedside manner and the skill of a wet rag is the department director is telling. As a matter of fact, Lahey has gone way down in quality over the years. Do yourself a favor and choose a different hospital.

Unprofessional
I had a colposcopy done by Dr. Raffaele Bruno on 08/30/2022.  The lab results state: 'EXTREMELY SCANT GLANDULAR AND SQUAMOUS CERVICALMUCOSA, WITH NO DIAGNOSTIC ABNORMALITY. (NOTE: TISSUE IS EXTREMELY SCANT AND MAY NOT ADEQUATELYREPRESENT THE ENDOCERVIX)...Please note the specimen is scant and may not survive processing./ klh'. ' I have enough cervix tissue to be sampled from. The insufficient sample is a medical error. I was not assured by the inclusive results. I couldn't have peace of mind without knowing whether I have pre-cancer or cancer that needs to be treated.  Dr. Bruno refused to do the colposcopy again. I paid $947 and no refund. I went to another clinic to have another colposcopy, which I had to pay again. I understand that doctors are humans and they make mistakes. That is why doctors have professional insurance to cover their mistakes. If patients are burdened with doctors' errors, why will doctors be motivated to uphold and improve their medical standards?

Worst experience ever with a doctor
I'm from Canada and I had sent an e-mail to the International travels dept to see if they could find a doctor to help me with an hysterectomy gone wrong. I was told that they would recommend him after discussing with the assistants. I was told to bring in CD's of all my scans and previously sent other doctors inquiries. I spend alot of money and my time and spoke to the assistant for about 10 minutes. When Dr. Bruno came in, he said he read my report and nothing is wrong. Spent 10 minutes with me and would not even look at my scans or anything else. Couldn't wait to refer me to someone else to get rid of me. Horrible experience.

He was dismissive and condescending. Asked why I had made an appointment at my age (75) When I asked if I could have my blood pressure done at the end of the visit to see if the reading varied from the one at the beginning he said it wasn't necessary and I should take my own blood pressure readings at home.

Dr Bruno does not listen or explain things well. He suggested aggressive treatment for my condition which didn’t seem right to me. He brushed aside my concerns. When I saw another Dr. for a second opinion, she reassured me my condition was common and minor, didn’t require surgery or any treatment at this time, just monitoring. I left both appointments in tears. After my visit with Dr. Bruno I felt broken, after the new Dr. I felt whole again.

Was able to get in quickly, however Dr Bruno and his staff treated me like I was unimportant and that my concerns were trivial. I get that he sees these types of things on a daily basis, but as it does not happen to the individual that often/ever, you'd think he'd have a better bedside manner.

Very skilled and informed Doctor. After years spent wasting my time with another Gynecologist, Dr. Bruno and the ladies in his office got me in within two weeks for a new appointment and gave me the surgery I so dearly needed within two months. He saved my life. I would definitely recommend this doctor to anyone looking for a good OBGYN.

I recently had a bladder sling repair by Dr Bruno. I met with him a few times over the course of the last 5-6 yrs. I finally decided to have surgery after taking the conservative route first (Bio feedback, PT etc with no great result. Surgery was quick day surgery. Mild discomfort post op for 24 hrs requiring tylenol or motrin. I was coughing, laughing, sneezing and walking without incident immediately after surgery. It is a new life for me. I am so thankful to Dr Bruno!!!
