Dr. Rafik Sidaros, MD

Dr. Sidaros is a wonderful doctor. He is very empathetic, kind and patient. He never makes me feel rushed and truly listens to me. He understands my concerns about trying different medications and works with me on treatment plans. I have always been afraid to trust doctors and I am so grateful that he is my psychiatrist.

I had my first session with Dr. Sidaros yesterday. I can't begin to describe how much better I already feel. Unlike the doctors at PAMF and Kaiser, I felt Dr. Sidaros deeply considered how I felt about my current and past treatments. For the first time in many years, I felt heard by my doctor and was a part of the decision-making process in creating my treatment plan. I'm excited to continue working with Dr. Sidaros and highly recommend him to everyone, particularly LGBTQ+ people.

Such a great doctor. Very compassionate, empathic, smart, respectful - never belittles - always listens and tries very hard. I'm a difficult case/patient and it take a highly intelligent, analytical, patient, and kind doctor to deal with my complex combination of issues. He is the best psychiatrist I've ever been seen.

I’ve always been hesitant about taking medication and after a few failed attempts with other psychiatrists, I was going to give up on receiving help. Dr. Sidaros was the first to talk to me like a was human and didn’t make me feel like I was being rushed so he can move on to the next patient. After a few sessions we decided on a medication that would help; I tried it because I believed Dr. Sidaros has my best interest in mind. I’ve been on the medicine for a few months now and my mental health has never been better. I’m so glad I tried looking for help one last time. I believe in humanity again.
